ZeveFest: A Family Fun Day for a Very Special Cause

Posted by Devenia Besant on 20 Jun 2026

The local community is coming together this June to support a very special young boy at ZeveFest, Danetree Primary School’s first-ever Family Fun Day.

Taking place on Sunday 28th June from 12pm–4pm at Danetree Primary School Field, the event aims to raise funds and awareness for 10-year-old Zeve, who is currently undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with high-grade osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer.

What was initially thought to be a sports injury turned into every parent’s nightmare. Since his diagnosis, Zeve has shown incredible courage whilst facing intensive chemotherapy and ongoing treatment. His family are raising funds to help cover specialist rehabilitation, access to cutting-edge treatments and clinical trials, and the associated travel and accommodation costs.

ZeveFest promises to be a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family, bringing the community together to show their support while raising vital funds. Attendees can expect a fantastic family atmosphere with entertainment, activities and plenty of opportunities to get involved.
