You can buy clothes in Epsom and Ewell…

Ok ok so maybe that’s not the full truth as there are sadly not many clothes shops (I’m talking ladies specifically) that you can quickly pop to in Epsom and Ewell.  Now that H&M (Hennes in my day 🙈), New Look, Fat Face, The White Stuff and House of Fraser (with all its concessions) to name a few have closed down – we now have a lack of choice apart from M&S, Next and TK Maxx etc unless you want to travel to Kingston, Wimbledon or Guildford.

I know with the exciting re-development of The Ashley Centre there should be more to come but what can we do for choice in the meantime (and beyond…)?

Independent Retailers

Did you know there are many independent boutiques in or around the area? These amazing micro businesses sell their gorgeous wares at home boutiques, local events, markets, pop ups, clothes parties (yep they will bring the clothes to you) or online and as they are Surrey based some offer FREE local delivery or click and collect.

Here are some I personally know via the directory and networking but I’m sure there are many more:

SW wardrobe

Selling gorgeous clothes (think floaty dresses, top and trouser co-ords), handbags, sunglasses, scarves and jewellery.  Owner Alex currently sells at local pop ups including David Lloyd Cheam, events and she will also come to you if you would like to have a clothes party with friends.  You can also find SW Wardrobe wears on Facebook and Instagram.

Styled Right

Styled Right is a Surrey based online fashion store who is also available to book for personal shopping sessions at your home.  You will also find Styled Right at local events such as the Ewell Village Artisan Market and recent pop ups have included All Things Nice and Lisa’s in Ewell Village to name a few.

Owner Sammy personally selects each piece to ensure customers get the best quality at amazing value and is always on hand to help with any styling or sizing questions you might have.  Signature pieces include blazers, statement dresses, t-shirts, positive slogan hoodies, handbags, jewellery and more.

Visit the Styled Right website https://www.styledright.co.uk/ or follow on Facebook and Instagram.

The Style Closet

Soon to be opening a shop in Ewell Village The Style Closet stocks summer dresses, occasion dresses (think ladies day), jeans, tops and Italian leather bags with detachable straps.

Owner Rachael currently invites you to her home boutique in Epsom Downs for coffee and shopping (before the Ewell Village shop opens), you can also find Rachael at pop ups such as the Waterhouse Cafe in Tadworth and local events and markets including the Ewell Village Artisan Market.

Opening date for the shop: TBC.

Also find The Style Closet on Facebook and Instagram.

Styled Signature Boutique

Style Signature Boutique is a home boutique located in Epsom, the boutique offers a curated edit of independent European clothing and accessory brands.

Owner Marsha is a qualified Personal Stylist so is also able to offer consultations for colour & body shape, win win.  You can either visit the boutique by appointment or browse the gorgeous collection online by visiting the website https://www.stylesignatureboutique.co.uk/.

Also find Styled Signature Boutique on Facebook and Instagram.

Pre-Loved

If buying new isn’t your thing then there are also many pre-loved options for you to make use of, I myself set up a pre-loved Facebook group Epsom & Ewell Preloved Dresses or if you would rather shop pre-loved in person then check out Cash in the Wardrobe monthly @ Bourne Hall Ewell

This event is held every third Saturday of the month.  9am-3pm, and is FREE entry as a buyer.

There is also a a pre-loved dress agency in Ashtead I’ve not personally visited the Damsel Dress Agency but the website looks good – https://www.damseldressagency.com and you can pop in and see them at:

54, The Street
Ashtead
Surrey
KT21 1AZ

…where they stock prom dresses, designer clothing, handbags, hats and more.

Hopefully within this blog you have discovered some businesses that you had not heard of before and now have some more options to shop locally and whilst doing so you will be supporting some great independents.

Happy Shopping!
