In the last few weeks, we have been enjoying going for walks again (and taking a lot of photos). Here are some of my favourite walks in our local area.
We love walking around Epsom Common – we do this walk regularly. The lake is our best discovery. We have also spotted deer, cows and the most beautiful birds and butterflies on this walk.
During lockdown, we have started walking from Epsom to Epsom Downs, and then exploring the Downs. The highlight of our walk was discovering an Elder tree and seeing some horses (at a distance).
When we lived in Ewell, our favourite walk was from Bourne Hall to Ewell Court, along the Hogsmill River. We loved the tunnels, paths and stepping stones along the route. We also enjoyed spotting bluebells, the swans and the resident heron.
The historical Horton park is such a beautiful huge park to walk around, with so many different paths and things to discover. I used to regularly run at Horton and loved seeing the horses, Hobbledown animals and the most beautiful flowers.
