Hello lovely Epsom and Ewell families – we are down to the last week of school (I get a bit excited by school holidays) and it’s almost Easter time too, which means… LOADS of chocolate, delicious food and family time. YAY!

If you are looking for things to keep the family busy, in the next two weeks, then look no further.

Local Activities & Holiday Clubs

Denbies has several events over the school holidays. From story-telling to theatre, birds of prey to a disco. There is something for everyone.

Hobbledown has various activities over the holidays to entertain all ages; including crafts, animal events, a Giant Egg Hunt and much more.

Be quick Stagecoach Epsom is taking bookings for their Holiday Workshop. The course takes place from the 3rd – 6th April, and costs start from £75.

Aerial Tumbling Club will be holding a holiday club at Epsom Downs Primary School. From 9am – 3pm on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th and 13th. Prices start from £25. Places are limited, so please contact Justine on asap.

Join Brilliant Bilinguals for Spanish Fun Holiday activities. Including an Easter Egg Hunt, crafts, games and much more.

Sutton Life Centre has an Easter Fun Day on the 12th of April, from 10am – 4pm. Entry is £3 per child.

Dandelion Theatre Arts is also hosting an holiday workshop at the Leatherhead Theatre. The theme is Beauty and the Beast, and the course will take place from the 9th – 13th April. From £65.

Further Afield

Do you love Harry Potter? Join the Muggles Quidditch team on the 5th of April in Kingston. £15 per child. There are also sessions in Merton on the 3rd and 4th of April.

Easter Activities

The Ashley Centre will be hosting an Easter Treasure Hunt for the whole of the Easter weekend. Collect your entry form at Toy Barnhaus. There are two Easter hampers up for grabs.

Find Easter eggs in the picturesque Painshill Park today (28th March). From 10am – 4pm. The activity is included in your admission fee. You can also take part in the Cadbury Easter Egg hunts at Claremont Landscape Garden and Morden Hall Park from 30th March to 2nd April. Or you can take part in the Cadbury’s Easter Egg Hunt at Polesden Lacey from the 30th March until the 15th April.

And if Cadbury eggs don’t quite do it for you. You can go on a Lindt Easter Bunny hunt at Hampton Court or at Wisley. You can hunt for Lindt bunnies for the duration of the Easter holidays.

And if your children (and you) are particularly partial to Peter Rabbit, you can celebrate Easter with a Peter Rabbit themed day out at Kew.

Good Friday 

Easter Workshop at All Saints Church in West Ewell. £4 per child. From 10am – 12.30pm.

St Albans Church in Gander Green Lane will also be hosting an Easter Workshop on Friday. From 10.30am – 12.00pm. Suggested donation of £2, £1 per additional child.

Saturday 31st March

2nd Ewell Rainsters will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt at Gibraltar Rec in Ewell. Collect entry forms from the scout hut on West Street.

Free Easter Fun Day at Stoneleigh Baptist Church. 11am – 3pm. BBQ, Easter crafts, bowling competition, games, hot cross bun café, Easter bonnet parade and bouncy castle.

Meet the Pups from Paw Patrol at The Swan Centre in Leatherhead. The event is from 10.30am – 4.30pm, and the pups will be appearing at various times throughout the day.

Children’s Trust have an Easter Fair on Saturday from 12 – 4pm. You can find Easter eggs, enjoy the Easter market and delicacies. There will also be activities, games, mascots, raffles, ponies and mini Jeeps. A fun family day out. £3 per adult and £4.50 for the Easter Egg Hunt.

Kempton Park has a race day this Saturday and activities for the children, including a visit from the Paw Patrol pups. There will also be pony rides, face painting, soft play, petting farm, inflatables, crafts and an Easter Egg hunt.

Easter Sunday

Cheam Park Cafe will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt from 10am – 2pm. Tickets are limited and need to be purchased from Cheam Park Café for £2 per child, before the event.

Easter Church Services

St Martin’s Church Epsom – Passion Play through the streets of Epsom at 9.50am on Friday 30th March and Communion service with Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, 1st April at 10am.

St Mary’s Ewell – Children’s Stations of the Cross 11am on Friday 30th March and Praise @ 11 followed by an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, 1st April.

St Joseph’s Catholic Church Epsom – Family Mass on 1st April at 9.30am.

St Paul’s Howell Hill, in Cheam is hosting an All Ages service on Friday, 30th at 10am and two Easter services on Sunday, 1st April at 10am and 6.30pm.

Charity Appeals

The Epsom and Ewell Foodbank will happily take any Easter Egg donations, you will find donation stations here.


Lastly don’t forget that the Odeon does kids club during school holidays. A good, wallet-friendly activity for a rainy day.
