School’s out for summer! Thankfully there’s plenty on to keep everyone entertained. Here’s your weekly roundup of what’s happening in and around the area.
Bourne Hall – Summer Walks
Bourne Hall is running a series of fascinating guided walks around Epsom and Ewell for all the family during August and September.
Walks cost £5 per person and are limited to 20 people per walk. Places must be booked with David Brooks by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Bourne Hall – Museum Activities
The museum is also inviting children and adults alike to join them for a series of FREE educational talks with demonstrations and activities to get involved with. The first session is on Wednesday, August 4th (10.30am to 12.00 or 1.30pm to 3.00pm) and will run every subsequent Wednesday in August. They’ll cover Roman Ewell, Blitzed Epsom, Epsom Spa and Salts and the Great War.

Free social walks in Epsom and Ewell
Epsom & Ewell Borough Council is running a free 12-week social walks programme in the borough to improve residents’ health and well-being. The walks although primarily aimed at those with diabetes are open to anyone who would like to take part and get active.
Starting on Monday 26 July until Thursday 14 September, the local twice weekly walks will take place on Mondays and Thursdays from 10.30am – 11.30am in Nonsuch Park.

Mandalina – Ladies Night
Lots of the Epsom & Ewell Families gang had a super night out at Mandalina patisserie restaurant on Ewell High Street last week. It was Ladies Night and the Prosecco was flowing; we had great food and saw an amazing belly dancing display (some of us even took part!). The Children’s Trust – Step Forward Walk
On Saturday, 21 August, join The Children’s Trust for a physical walk starting and finishing at its national rehabilitation centre in Tadworth, Surrey.

Ewell History Day 2021
On Saturday, 18th September, you’ll get the opportunity to discover Ewell’s incredible past. At this free event, you’ll…

Veterans pilot project
Calling the armed forces community, charities and professionals working in Epsom & Ewell…
Surrey County Council is developing pilot projects in Surrey Heath, Epsom & Ewell and Guildford to identify and support veterans and ex-service personnel who are not known to Adult Social Care or Armed Forces Charities. They would like to invite them to take part in group activities and the opportunity to record their life stories to help reduce isolation, increase friendships and if needed signpost them to additional support.

Godstone Farm is hosting all inclusive camping weekends on Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August and Friday 6th August to Sunday 8th August. Pardon Your French
Pardon Your French is running a GCSE intensive course that will help students practise their French, gain confidence and revise before the start of the new academic year. This will be for an hour each day over the course of a week (Mon-Fri) 26th–30th, July and 2nd– 6th, August. More details here and here
