Hello to you all!

I cannot believe that it’s already mid-way through October and that we are preparing for half-term, Halloween and Bonfire Night. I love this time of the year. I hope that you find something to keep you entertained before, during and after half-term.

Starting off with FREE trials

This month you can try one of Ambition School of Dance’s Adult Dance Classes for FREE!  They are offering a one week free trial for their adult tap and ballet classes in October. The Tap and Ballet classes are for all ages and for all abilities – so whether you’re a complete novice or an experienced dancer, they have something for you. Ewell Dance are offering a free lesson for children interested in trying Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary Dance, Street Dance and Musical Theatre. Adult Ballet classes are also available. Please contact Claire to book your free trial!

Thursday, 17th October

Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People are looking forward to their Autumn Ladies Lunch Shopping Fair at Epsom Downs Racecourse from 12.00pm to 3.00pm.  More details can be found here.

Friday 18th October

Bambinos and Me are hosting a Babies First Halloween Party at All Things Nice.

There is a NEW Little Kickers football class at Tadworth Leisure Centre on Friday mornings.

Pop to Kingston to support the Satisfied Eye International Film Festival, taking place from the 18th to 20th October. There are films to cater for everyone; including short and feature films, documentaries and animations. There will also be a red-carpet closing ceremony on Sunday evening.

Half Term Activities

October half term seems to be different depending on the school, so here are some top picks of half-term activities for the next two weeks (including the weekends).

Saturday 19th October

Chessington Garden Centre also has Half Term Halloween activities – a Spooky Zoo, and Scary Circus from the 19th; and a Spookylicious Chocolate WorkshopTrick or Treat Maze and Monster Meals from the 26th.

You can carve pumpkins at Morden Hall Park from the 19th to the 23rd October.

Monday 21st October

Garsons Farm has Halloween Fun from the 21st October.

Head over to Woodcote Green from the 21st October for a Halloween Comedy Show. Tickets are £4 per child. Shows are at 10.00am, 11.30am, 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

Hobbledown has some Hobble’ween festivities taking place over half term – Halloween lunches, creepy crawly experiences, puppet shows, ghostly tales, creation stations and more.

Thursday 24th October

8 – 16 year olds can take part in the Survival Adventure Game at Morden Hall Park on the 24th and 25th.

Friday 25th October

James and the Giant Pumpkin is taking place at Crockford Bridge Farm.

The Old Moat Garden Centre is having a Fang-tastic Trick or Treat Trail and Pumpkin Throwing and Deadpin Bowling from the 25th October to the 1st November. No booking necessary.

From the 25th to the 27th October, there is Pumpkinberry at Flower Farm, in Godstone.

There is Fireworks Night at The Children’s Trust in Tadworth, from 6.00pm. The event starts with a child-friendly fireworks display at 7.00pm, followed by the main display at 8.00pm.

Saturday 26th October

Autumn Half Term fun at RHS Garden Wisley from the 26th October to the 3rd November.

Ewell Court Library is hosting a Halloween-themed event from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

There is an u10’s Halloween party at The Chequers KT20, from 11.00am to 2.00pm.

Join the Witches and Wizards week at Bockett’s Farm from the 26th.

There is a Go Sport Festival taking place at Epsom Square from the 26th October to the 3rd November.

Saturday 26th October 

The Gimme Abba show is on at The Leatherhead Theatre at 7.30pm. Tickets range from £15 to £20 (plus a £1 seat levy) and can be bought by calling the box office on 01372 365 141 or via their website.

Sunday 27th October

If you fancy a day trip to Portsmouth (maybe to get some Christmas shopping done); the Epsom and Ewell Mayor’s Charities have a coach trip.

Denbies‘ Halloween festivities begin on the 27th, with a fun run. They also have a spooky train ride, storytelling, birds of prey, a Halloween fancy dress disco and a creepy crawly roadshow.

Kidnation presents their Halloween Spooktacular at North Cheam Sports and Social Club.

Sutton’s Trampoline Park has Fright Night Bounce-tacular from 3.00pm.

There is an NCT Low Bangs fireworks display at Guildford Rugby Club, from 4.00pm.

Monday 28th October

Brilliant Bilinguals has a Spanish Club in Stoneleigh until the 1st November.

Visit the Ashley Centre in Epsom for Spooky Half Term fun. Daily activities from the 28th to the 31st.

St Mary’s, Ewell is hosting an Under the Sea Half-Term Fun Day, from 10.00am to 1.00pm.

Tuesday 29th October

Priory Farm is hosting a Halloween Workshop from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

Aerial Tumbling Club has Half Term Gymnastics Clubs from the 29th to 31st October, from 9.00am to 3.00pm. Cost: 1 day – £25, 2 days – £45, 3 days – £65.

Thursday 31st October

Pandibakes has a Spooky Halloween Cake and Craft workshop at Glyn Hall from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. Amy is also launching a new soft play and toddler group called Pandiplay, from 10.00am to 1.00pm.

We Love Little Mix – The Ultimate Little Mix Party is at the Epsom Playhouse. Tickets are £15 and the show starts are 2.30pm.

Godstone Farm is once again hosting a Low Bangs Fireworks Display, and Halloween Fun on the 31st October and 1st November.

Claremont Landscape Garden has a Spooky Walk from 4.30pm. Tickets are £1.50 per child – normal ticket prices apply.

There is a Royal Marsden Charity Night from 5.00pm, at Poltsa Boutique, on Stoneleigh Broadway.

Friday 1st November

Pop over to Guildford Spectrum for a Halloween Foam Party on ice.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical is being brought to life on the New Wimbledon Theatre Stage from the 1st to the 3rd November.

Back2House and Caffe Italia have their Halloween fancy dress event, for grown ups, at 8.00pm.

Saturday 2nd November

See the Greatest Show Fireworks Extravaganza at Windsor Racecourse from 4.00pm.

There are Musical Fireworks at Morden Hall Park on the 2nd November and at Wimbledon Park on the 5th November.

Carshalton Round Table is also having their annual Fireworks Display, from 5.00pm at Carshalton Park.

The popular Hook Road Fireworks Display is happening from 5.30pm. There is also a fun fair.

Sunday 3rd November

Dia de dos Muertos painting workshop at YourSpace. Sutton from 1.00pm.

Grow Cook Enjoy have an Adult’s Cooking Workshop on Thursday 7th November from 7.30pm.

Age Concern has a Charity Curry Night at Tamarind Spice on Tuesday 26th November.
