WHATS HAPPENING IN AND AROUND THE AREA – OCTOBER PART 1
Posted by Kalli Pasqualucci on 30 Sep 2018
Hello lovely Epsom and Ewell Families,
The last two weeks in Epsom have been really lovely – I have witnessed some amazing acts of kindness including seeing people help a blind man who was trying to get onto a bus, someone helping an old man to cross the road and someone helping a mum with baby and toddler – I’m all for kindness ruling the world and just super happy vibes.
I’ve also heard some great things about Epsom hospital – people raving about the birth suite and midwives (a friend is about to have a baby there) and a friend whose husband was taken to A&E and was so well looked after. Finally the roadworks are getting on and the weather has been lovely – well it was today. And it’s almost the most wonderful time of the year. I am so excited!
On that happy note – I am looking forward to October and the exciting things that are happening. I am most excited for half term (no school run – have you sensed an ongoing theme of mine?), Halloween and Epsom’s FIRST EVER FILM FESTIVAL! I mean, what’s not to love.

Charity / Local Causes
Epsom and Ewell Families have been very supportive of a young boy called Jacob, who is suffering from a rare form of brain cancer. His aunt had previously asked people to write him birthday cards for his 2nd birthday and was blown away by the response that they received. Since then, they have set up a Just Giving page to fundraise for a trip to America, for what could be life saving treatment.
The Epsom Mental Health Well-being Festival by charity Love Me – Love My Mind starts on the 6th October you can read all about it here.
Dee is constantly updating the page and group (I’m not sure she even goes to sleep!!!), so if you haven’t joined yet, please do. It really is a wealth of local wisdom. The directory has also been updated with some fab businesses including Jaimie’s Castles for your bouncy castle needs, Rowan Perkins Ltd for childrens well-being, Breech Lane Curry House and Linda Conran Hair and Make Up.
Lastly if you’d like to follow the blog or me (I try to get out and about in the local area quite a bit), we are also both on Instagram.
Hope that you have a lovely two weeks and I will be back soon with some exciting half term fun!
Love Kalli x
