Woah! That felt like the quickest, and yet also the slowest two weeks – I think it must be due to the change of weather, and clocks. Hope that you had a great half term. We have spent ours catching up, doing a lot of swimming, drawing, playing, chilling, and Halloween festivities. I also met the lovely Rhiannon from Epsom Bakehouse this week – blog coming soon.

Here is what is happening over the next two weeks in, and around, Epsom and Ewell.

Friday 1st November

The Go Epsom Sports Festival is continuing in Epsom Square, until Sunday 3rd November. 

The Old Moat Garden Centre is still doing their Fang-tastic Trick or Treat Trail and Pumpkin Throwing and Deadpin Bowling until 1st November. No booking necessary.

You can still visit Chessington Garden Centre’s Spooky ZooScary CircusTrick or Treat Maze and Monster Meals until the 2nd November.

Join the Witches and Wizards week at Bockett’s Farm until 3rd November.

Pop over to Guildford Spectrum for a Halloween Foam Party on ice.

Autumn Half Term fun at RHS Garden Wisley until 3rd November.

Hobbledown still has some Hobble’ween festivities taking place until the 3rd of November.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical is on the New Wimbledon Theatre Stage from the 1st to the 3rd November.

Back2House and Caffe Italia have their Halloween fancy dress event, STRICTLY for grown ups, at 8.00pm.

Saturday 2nd November

See the Greatest Show Fireworks Extravaganza at Windsor Racecourse from 4.00pm.

There are Musical Fireworks at Morden Hall Park on the 2nd November and at Wimbledon Park on the 5th November.

Carshalton Round Table is also having their annual Fireworks Display, from 5.00pm at Carshalton Park.

The popular Hook Road Fireworks Display is happening from 5.30pm. There is also a fun fair.

Banstead Cricket Club are doing a Fireworks Display from 6.00pm.

The 4th Worcester Park Scout Group are also doing a Fireworks display, from 7.00pm.

Sunday 3rd November

Dia de dos Muertos painting workshop at YourSpace. Sutton from 1.00pm.

Monday 4th November

The new play area at Rainbow Leisure Centre is opening. For more information, have a look at Dee’s blog.


Thursday 7th November

Fitness Space Epsom are throwing an exclusive event to celebrate 100 days since opening from 6.00pm – it will be an evening of fun & fitness.

Rock for Heroes is at Epsom Playhouse from 7.30pm. You can also see a Tom Jones tribute on the 9th of November, MARVELus on the 14th of November, and Sinatra Sequins & Swing on the 21st November.

Thursday 14th November

A short drive away, the Sutton High Street Christmas Launch is happening from 4.00pm.

Friday 15th November

Cobham Curve have a Christmas Pop-Up Market, in aid of Action Against Cancer.

Sunday 17th November 

The ultimate pop princess party starts its first UK tour, and will be coming to The Leatherhead Theatre. The production features songs from Olly Murs, Dolly Parton, Cher, Michael Buble, Jess Glynne, and The Greatest Showman. More details can be found on their website.

Age Concern has a Charity Curry Night at Tamarind Spice on Tuesday 26th November.

The Banstead Christmas Community Event is taking place on Thursday 28th November from 5.00pm.

Stoneleigh Broadway’s Lights on Broadway 2019 event is happening on Friday 29th November.

Light Up Leatherhead is on Saturday 30th November, from 3.00pm.

The popular local charity event – Chessington Road Lights – will be turned on on Sunday 1st December at 6.00pm.

Penny Black in Leatherhead has a Children’s Outdoor Cinema on Saturday 7th December. There are screenings of Polar Express, The Grinch and Home Alone.

If you would like to learn more about travelling safely with your baby, BusyLizzy Epsom & Leatherhead are doing a Travel Safe workshop on Tuesday 10th December at Jess and The Beanstalk.

On Saturday 21st December the Epsom Choral Society will be giving its annual Christmas Concert at St Martin’s Church in Epsom. A mix of traditional carols with new pieces, and accompanied by a quintet from London Metropolitan Brass.
