It’s officially the summer; the lavender has started flowering, it’s English Wine Week and it’s definitely the time to start thinking about (and booking) activities for the kids for the school holidays.
Here’s what you need to know about what’s happening…
Little Kickers – Football courses
Little Kickers has added three extra classes every Sunday morning at Epsom Downs primary School ⚽️ Little Kicks – 18 months to 2 ½ years at 9am ⚽️ Junior Kickers – 2 ½ years to 3 ½ years at 9.50am ⚽️ Mighty Kickers – 3 ½ years to 5 years at 10.45am.

Saturday 26th June (12-3pm) is Epsom Primary School’s Summer Street Fair. Lots of family favourites. All details above.
Epsom Vegan Market
The Vegan Market – run by ethical vegan events – is back in Epsom on Sunday, 27th June (10.30am until 3.30pm).
There are a wide variety of vegan foods, products and produce and you’ll find everything from Nordic wellness drinks, spirits, free from cakes and date coffee to eco-friendly toiletries, dog superfood, faux fried chicken and cannabinoids.

St Martin’s Church in Epsom is holding a Covid recovery event on Sunday 27th June the event is for people to reflect on the past year and to take some time out to think and restore their feelings and emotions in the peaceful surroundings of the church (which will be open from 9am-5pm). www.stmartinsepsom.org
Summer Walks – Butterfly Stroll
Epsom Common Association – Join Alison Gilry on Sunday, 27th June at 2pm in the annual search for the elusive and magnificent Purple Emperor butterfly and find, identify and record other butterflies and moths on the Common.
Start from the Stew Pond car park, Christ Church Road (meet near the Gallows gate entrance). Lasts approximately 2 hours.
Fund raising dinner at Il Capriccio
Il Capriccio in Ewell Village is hosting a fundraiser on Wednesday, 30th June at 7pm in aid of Epsom Medical Equipment Fund.More details about this event and others in aid of Epsom Medical Equipment Fund here.
Free French in the Park for Parents & Toddlers
ALTétude French Tutoring is running a series of free half hour French lessons for parents and toddlers in Manor Park in Sutton. The next 30 minute session is taking place on July 1st (10am-10.30am). Book here.
Introduction to sourdough bread baking
The Epsom Bakehouse is running its popular sour dough class on Saturday, 3 July from 11:00am-12:30pm.
You’ll learn step-by-step the process to mix, knead, prove and shape a crusty white sourdough loaf, using a traditional starter to raise your loaf (you’ll be guided step-by-step how to make your own rye flour sourdough starter before the class). It’s an online class and costs £27. More details and booking here.
English Wine & Cheese Tasting – Albury Vineyard
Celebrate English Wine Week with a cheese and wine tasting at Albury Vineyard in the Surrey Hills this Sunday (27th). To book for this event and ones throughout the Summer go to.
Horton Chapel Arts Epsom
The Horton Chapel Arts Epsom is inviting young people from the local area to join The Horton Young Creatives. The group will be given unique opportunities to get involved and take part in free creative activities with professional artists.

French conversation group at Yo Sarnie
For like minded people wanting to practice their French and share their passion about France, Pardon Your French is running French conversation classes. The next one is at Yo Sarnie on Friday 2nd July from 10am – 11am.

Epsom & St Helier Hospitals Charity
The NHS Big Tea is the nation’s biggest tea break. It’s a chance to join together, have a cuppa, say thank you and raise some money for your local NHS heroes at Epsom and St Helier hospitals and community services. It takes place at 3pm on Monday 5 July.
The Epsom & St Helier Hospitals Charity is also running a Summer raffle with some amazing prizes up for grabs. You can find out more and enter the draw (which takes place on Thursday, 29 July) here.
