WHAT’S HAPPENING IN AND AROUND THE AREA – JULY PART 2

Whoop whoop, final week of school… and Summer holidays are upon us. We have yet to actually book our Summer holiday, but I am sure that wherever we go, we will have a fantastic time.
I hope that you have all had a good start to July – we have been super busy at Epsom and Ewell Families, with lots of exciting events to attend and wonderful new companies to visit. Have a look at the blog, to find out what we have been up to.
If you are looking for something to do with the family, over the next few weeks, look no further. We have activities for everyone.
Tuesday 16th July
If you are a small business, and would like to meet other local business owners, visit Jess and the Beanstalk for a networking breakfast, from 9.00 – 11.00.
Thursday 18th July
The third instalment of Epsom Downs Racecourse’s Summer Nights Rewind is taking place this Thursday. Doors open from 4.00pm. 90’s dancing will take place after the last race.
The 00’s night is taking place on Thursday, 1st August.
Friday 19th July
There is a Beer Bop A Lula Festival at Priory Park, in Reigate, from the 19th to the 21st of July.
Saturday 20th July
Watts Gallery has a Woodland Fairy Fair on the 20th and 21st.
Painshill Summer Weekend is happening this weekend. There will be boat rides, birds of prey displays, ballroom dancing performances, kite making and more.
Surrey Fire and Rescue’s Open Day, in Reigate, is happening from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
The Bell, in Fetcham, has a Summer Fair this weekend.
Sunday 21st July
There are guided walks of Langley Vale, taking place from 10.00am.
Epsom Common Day is taking place at Stamford Green from 11.00am. It is the 401st anniversary of the discovery of the Epsom Well and the beginning of the Spa period in Epsom.
The popular Music in Nork Park is happening this Sunday, from 12.00pm.
There is a car show fundraiser at Nonsuch Primary from 1.00pm.
Wednesday 24th July
A fantastic opportunity to get outdoors and climbing trees in Morden Hall Park this Summer holiday. There are sessions on the 24th July and 21st August.
Chessington Garden Centre has a ‘paint a pot and plant a strawberry plant’ workshop on the 24th and 25th July. There are two workshops, per day, from 11.00am – 12.00pm and from 2.00pm – 3.00pm.
Epsom and Ewell’s Mayor and Mayoress will be at Peri Village in Epsom for a meal, in aid of the The Epsom and Ewell Mayor’s Charities.
Saturday 27th July
Pick your own Lavender at Carshalton Lavender on the 27th and 28th July.
Milner House Care Home is hosting a Fun Dog Show from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
Sunday 28th July
Pandibakes has another exciting Parent and Child cupcake class, taking place in July. The class is at 10.00am at Glyn Hall in Ewell.
Join King’s Church in Epsom for their Summer Breeze from 11.00am to 3.00pm. There will be a BBQ, music and games.
Tuesday 30th July
Rewild your Child at Priory Farm from 9.30 to 1.00pm.
For Your Diary
Singalonga is hosting a Greatest Showman sing-along at Epsom Playhouse on the 3rd of August from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
Wildflowers Family Festival is happening again at Hobbledown on the 16th, 17th and 18th August.
Mamma Mia 2 is being screened at Cheam Park Open Air Cinema from 7.00pm on the 24th August.
Trifest is back on Saturday 31st August, from 12.00pm to 4.00pm, in Auriol Park.
There is a Gatsby-inspired Charity Ball on Saturday 28th September.
Summer Holiday Clubs – Book Now
Clay Kids have Summer Workshops on the 23rd and 30th July.
Ambition Dance are are running dancing, singing and acting workshops in July and August, themes include School of Rock, Aladdin, Toy Story and The Lion King full details can be found on the website: https://www.ambitiondance.co.uk/events-workshops
EzeeSport will be holding sport classes, every week of the Summer Holidays.
TinyTalk has Summer Holiday Classes at Glyn Hall, from Monday 5th August.
Swimtime has some 5 day Summer-holiday swimming Crash Courses from 5th August at DW Fitness.
Monkey Music has various Summer Holiday Workshops, starting from 6th August.
Grow Cook Enjoy have a number of workshops to attend.
Lili-Mae’s School of Performing Arts is doing Dance Workshops from 27th to 30th August.
