Happy New Year!

Hope that you have had a fantastic festive period with your family and friends. I cannot believe that another year has come and gone, and that we are in 2020.

I love January and the hope of a new year. But if you battle with January blues and need something to get yourself out and about in our local area, then here are some ideas.

Ongoing Events

You can skate at Hampton Court Palace until the 5th January 2020.  Dee’s kids had great fun when they went last month!

St Nicholas Centre has an Ice Rink until the middle of January.

Epsom Playhouse’s 2019 pantomime Peter Pan is still running until the 5th January.

For those who fancy a trip into London; you can still visit the popular Winter Wonderland, in Hyde Park, until the 5th of January.

January 2020

For anyone who may need the services of North Surrey Domestic Abuse Service – they will be running a Freedom Programme in Epsom in January 2020. Please contact them for more information.


Sunday 5th January

Epsom All Sorts running club is starting a beginner’s group for ladies who would like to run.

Monday 6th January 

There is a meeting for those interested in Keeping Our Epsom and St Helier Hospitals, at Bourne Hall.

Tuesday 7th January

If you are looking for something to do with younger siblings, once the older ones go back to school, Painshill have a Parent and Child Forest School.

Friday 10th January

Bambinos and Me are hosting a Baby Massage (and Baby Yoga) class. They have also just announced that if you have twins, you only need to pay for one. What a fantastic deal for parents with twins!

Saturday 11th January

There is a Mum2Mum Market in Sutton, from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

Delicieux Cakes are doing Wedding Cake Consultations at Spring Tavern.

Sunday 12th January

Leatherhead Theatre have another live screening of 42nd Street.

Monday 13th January

The Ultimate Voice have a 10 week group vocal course for adults, starting from the 13th.

Wednesday 15th January

Old Moat Garden Centre are hosting a Comedy Cafe, with Kate Lucas.

YOUTheatre’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty is being performed at Epsom Playhouse from 7.30pm.

For Your Diary

You have another chance to see The Close-Up Show at The Leatherhead Theatre on Friday 17th January.

I really fancy taking my boys to see Tutankhamun’s Sarcophagus at The Observatory, in London, on Saturday 18th January.

For anyone that loves house music and would like to party at the end of Jan Back2House are returning to Caffe Italia, from 8.00pm on Friday 24th January.

*Book Now* Busylizzy Epsom and Leatherhead have a First Aid Workshop on Saturday 25th January.

The Carshalton Wedding Fair is taking place on Sunday 26th January – a great opportunity for those who are planning a wedding in 2020; or for those who have recently got engaged, and want to meet local wedding suppliers.
