Happy February!

Oh my goodness, this year really is whizzing by. I feel like my days are all merging into one long day (who needs sleep anyway, right?) but I am still feeling super motivated for this New Year. Long may it last!

There is so much happening in Epsom and Ewell in February, including half term, towards the end… YIPPEE! I am sure that you will find something to keep you and your busy over the next fortnight.  We also have a fantastic NEW Events Calendar – which will give you a more “real time” list of events, workshops and activities taking place in the area.

Saturday 1st February

Join TheBabyChapter on the 1st and 3rd Saturday morning of every month at the Cricketers Inn, Epsom from 10.00am. The Drop In Antenatal Class costs £15.

If you are interesting in learning Music Theory, The Heart and Soul Choir are doing a course.

Epsom Riding for the Disabled will be hosting a Mental Health First Aid Awareness Afternoon from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Stitches Haberdashery, in Cheam, is holding an Eco Community Event. An opportunity to buy or swap patterns, buy left over fabric and book onto their Eco Sewing Course.

Join Old Moat for a Winter Quiz. Tickets are £10 and include a mocktail and hot food. There is a cash bar available. All profits go towards supporting local people living with mental ill health.

Sunday 2nd February

Take part in the Discobedience Flash Mob. Learn the routine and support the community, while addressing the ecological crisis in your area.

Discover the History of Horton Country Park, on a guided walk from 1.00pm – 4.00pm. Meet at the Information Centre near the car park.

Monday 3rd February

You can pop into All Saints Church for a work out, at Sweaty Church.

Tuesday 4th February

Painshill are holding a weekly Parent and Child Forest School.

Wednesday 5th February

Good Evening and The Epsom Bakehouse have a Bread and Spice Cooking Class at PT Depot.

Thursday 6th February

Learn to cook exciting new recipes with your child at Grow Cook Enjoy! Learn about cooking techniques, while learning some great life skills.

Some Guys Have All The Luck – The Rod Stewart Story, is coming to Epsom Playhouse.

Friday 7th February

The Epsom and Ewell Gin and Rum Evening. Free drink and glass on arrival, live entertainment, food and drinks on sale. The Mayor and Mayoress will also be in attendance.

Saturday 8th February

Rainbow Leisure Centre has a family-friendly Open Day. There’s plenty for the whole family – FREE taster massages, classes and an inflatables session for 0ver 8’s (they must be able to swim 25m unaided).

The NCT Nearly New Sale is taking place at St Andrews Church, Northey Avenue, Cheam, SM2 7HF. Entry is £1 per adult.

The Epsom and Ewell Town Twinning Association will be holding a Quiz Night. They hold several competitions for school children throughout the year; such as French speaking, photography and music. The funds raised go towards organising these events and more.

Angelos Epithemiou presents an Evening of Comedy at Leatherhead Theatre.

Tuesday 11th February 

Enjoy your lunch while listening to a Bach Lunchtime Organ Recitals at St Mary’s Church.

Best-selling author and award-winning comedian Sam Avery discusses life with a toddler.

Friday 14th February

Celebrate Valentine’s Day, with Afternoon Tea, at the Crystal Grotto at Painshill.

Saturday 15th February

Make a delicious authentic curry (in a hurry) with Good Evening. There is also another class on the 16th.

Epsom’s Rotary Club are holding a Fundraising Ball at Epsom Downs. The ball is in aid of RDA and MYTime Young Carers.

HALF TERM – Monday 17th to Friday 21st February

Mega Camps have daily camps for those who are looking for full-day cover over half term. There are also some exciting new activities.

There are a variety of activities taking place at Rainbow Leisure Centre over half term, including Day Camps.

Tuesday 18th February

Bambinos and Me have a Half Term Holiday Workshop.

EzeeSport Holiday Camps provide lots of action for boys and girls of any sporting ability. There are half day (9.00am – 12.00pm) and full day (9.00am – 3.00pm) options at our venues in Epsom, Leatherhead and Ashtead, from the 18th to the 20th.

Grow Cook Enjoy have a Pasta Making Course taking place in half term.

For Your Diary

Jazz on the Mezz is returning to The Leatherhead Theatre on Wednesday 19th February.

The popular Epsom Book Fair is happening from Thursday 20th February to Saturday 22nd February. Donations are being accepted from the 12th to the 15th February.

The Chinese New Year Extravaganza is taking place at Epsom Playhouse on Friday 21st February from 7.00pm. Tickets cost £25, tickets with a Pass Card cost £23, and a Family ticket costs £74 (2+2/1+3).

*Book Now * Last year I did a fantastic Calligraphy course with Stacy Oakley Calligraphy, and would highly recommend it.  There is another course on Saturday 22nd February. If you need any convincing, maybe my blog can help.
