I actually visited a real theatre tonight, for an in-person performance, and it was great to be back. My sister and I went to The Leatherhead Theatre to watch West End Comes to Leatherhead.

The show, created by choreographer Natasha Mould, and performed by West End performers, took us on a journey behind the stage curtain to witness the lives of many performers, the ones on stage tonight, and others around the country. Performers who have changed their lives in lockdown, in order to survive. Performers who are eagerly waiting to get back on stage.

The show’s professional cast have starred in GreaseHairspraySeven Brides for Seven BrothersStrictly Come DancingDirty DancingMary PoppinsFlashdanceWe Will Rock YouWest Side StoryMamma MiaCATS9 to 5Scrooge and Evita.

It is a chance to support our local theatre, the arts, and these talented performers. There were some brilliant dances, clever lighting and sound, goosebump-inducing songs (including a beautiful original song) and some real heartfelt moments.

If you have missed going to the theatre, you can see the show this weekend:
