THE SURREY AWARDS 2024…

Posted by Devenia Besant on 13 Mar 2024

The Surrey Awards return this year rewarding the “best of the best” in Surrey.  It’s amazing to see so many Epsom businesses reach the short list and have the chance to be celebrated as the amazing businesses they are, along with the other fabulous Surrey businesses.

Lastly this year’s Surrey Awards are in aid of two charities:

ESDAS (East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services – https://www.esdas.org.uk/)

ESDAS was created in partnership with survivors and the local community in response to the injustice many adult and child survivors experienced in having to flee their homes to escape abuse and losing their support networks.

ESDAS takes a strengths-based, needs-led, trauma-informed approach for supporting survivors to build resilience and foster independence.

Many of our staff, volunteers and trustee team are experts by experience and are driven by the belief that abuse is not and should not be accepted as inevitable.

The Meeting Room (a Surrey Homelessness Charity- https://www.themeetingroom.org.uk/).

The Meeting Room is a registered charity operating in the Mole Valley and Epsom areas. The charity was founded in 2014 by Graham Peddie MBE, who was a leading advocate for assisting the most vulnerable people in our community. Our clients are of all backgrounds and ages and our focus is to provide meaningful support to those with a wide variety of issues including homelessness, poverty, physical or mental health difficulties, breakdown of relationships, social exclusion and loneliness and issues with alcohol or drugs.

Super good luck to all that have been shortlisted.
