I was lucky enough to visit Samantha Hailey recently for a cut and bouncy blow dry. My appointment was during one of Samantha’s scheduled days at Hair By Allie in Ewell Village, which provides a professional, relaxed environment to indulge in a bit of self care.

Samantha started by asking exactly what look I wanted to achieve and took into consideration everything I told her about my hair type and my styling struggles at home.

It was very clear that Samantha had a wealth of experience and knowledge and that was before she told me she had been in the industry for over 18 years! I felt in very safe and capable hands and was able to totally relax during the very indulgent shampoo, condition and head massage.

The salon setting itself was inviting, comfortable and with a menu of beverages on offer it felt like a real treat to switch off and enjoy the experience.

Having naturally wavy hair prone to frizz I do struggle with getting both volume and shine, but Samantha recommended adding some layers which has really helped me to keep the bounce after styling at home. She also talked me through what products she used and how I can incorporate them into my routine.

I said I wanted a big bouncy blow dry and that is exactly what I walked out the salon with – feeling amazing for the rest of the day!
