Join St Mary’s, Ewell this Saturday 2nd March 2.30pm – 4pm, and every first Saturday of the month for Messy Church goes wild. 2:30pm for activities, bible stories, and prayers for all the family.

Tattenhams Market 

The next Tattenhams Market (organised by St Mark’s church) is on Saturday, 2nd March from 10am to 1pm. It is a charity special helping local charities with lots of stalls for the community to browse and buy from.

There is a cafe supplying delicious cakes and hot dogs for lunch! It’s a great social event – all welcome! Free admission.

Red Raw – The Hypnotist Robert Temple @ Epsom Playhouse 

“The Hypnotist: Red Raw” is a brand new show coming to Epsom Playhouse on Thursday, March 7th (from 7.30pm) where volunteers from the audience unlock their imaginations and create a once-in-a-lifetime show of improvised comedy under the influence of hypnosis – live on stage.

Things will be imagined, people’s identities forgotten, changed and their reality completely altered. All in the spirit of a ruddy good laugh.

It’s the perfect night out whether you watch from the audience or you choose to participate as a star of the show, this is a night out not to be missed.

Thursday Morning Yoga at The Horton

Start the day with a session of gentle yoga at The Horton Thursday, 7th March (9.15am – 10.15am) to Thursday, 28th March.

Yoga teacher Louise Tozer will incorporate breathing techniques, sound and gentle movements into her classes to improve self-awareness, flexibility and relaxation.

It’s The Dylan Strong Foundation Charity Gala on Saturday, 9th March. It is guaranteed to be a fabulous evening of entertainment with a three course dinner, auction and disco.

Myths, Gods and Monsters – Museum Kids Club 

Think myths, gods and monsters are things of the past,? Learn how they pop up everywhere from brand names to days of the week. At the next Museum Kids Club on Saturday, 9th March (1pm-2.30pm) you’ll look at cosmic turtles, the Norse gods, and the Odyssey, with storytelling and poems from all over the world.

You can take part in the popular World Cup of Mythological Monsters and choose the victor of several rounds of monster fights. It’s a fun way to learn about the origins and evolution of legendary dragons, yetis, gorgons, the sphinx, the minotaur and the bunyip, a creature originally from Australian Aboriginal mythology but now part of Australian culture.

It will be led by Ana Sampson who has edited many bestselling poetry anthologies. She will bring some of her books which can be purchased and also signed by her.

St Patrick’s Day Ceilidh @ The Horton 

On Saturday, 16th March (from 7.30pm) celebrate St Patrick’s Day with an unforgettable evening of high-energy fun with the glamorous and talented ceilidh band Call Me Ceilidh. Perfect for the beginner or experienced ceilidh dancer.

With traditional Irish and Scottish music, they guarantee to keep you dancing all night. If you’re new to ceilidh, here is how it works:

First of all, the caller explains each dance before you do it and then gives instructions during the dance. Dances are often performed in a ring formation and the live music will keep you moving.

The Horton’s fully-licensed café-bar will be open from 6pm serving meals and drinks. Last orders 11pm. The event is open to adults and young people aged 11+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The Surrey Hills Hike in aid of The Children’s Trust is taking place on Sunday, 17th March from 9.30am. You can choose from a 5-mile or 10-mile option and they have now introduced a ‘1K Your Way!’ route. This route is fully accessible and suitable for buggies and wheelchairs.

The Hogsmill5 returns this year taking place on Sunday 28 April supporting the Epsom & Ewell Foodbank. There will be children’s races before the main event as well as a cake stall throughout with donations going to the charity.

St John’s Craft Group 

Do you feel a little isolated or just fancy a bit of fun and a natter? Maybe you could invite a neighbour along who doesn’t seem to get out and about much?

🧵 We meet in the Parish Room in the Parish Centre, next to ‘The Church by Stoneleigh Station’, on the third Monday of each month between 1oam-12pm.

🪡 Everyone brings their own craft, be it knitting, card making, crochet, sewing, mindful colouring to name a few. With lots of chat and tea and coffee we craft the morning away.

St John’s Tunes’n’Tea

Second Thursday of the month: LIVE MUSIC with Tunes’n’Tea at ‘The Church by Stoneleigh Station’. Come along on your own or bring a friend or neighbour who might welcome a lovely couple of hours of live music, tea, coffee, cakes and conversation.

🎙️ House band ‘Zephyr6’ and guest musicians perform for your delight. Relax and listen to a mix of songs and tunes, old, new, and everything in between!
