Epsom Camera Club June Exhibition

The Epsom Camera Club June Exhibition is taking place at The Horton running util Saturday, 15th June.

The FREE exhibition features the work of club members ranging from those relatively new to photography to those with established reputations. The work is displayed in both print and digital formats. You will see a wide variety of imagery from landscape to street photography, wildlife and flowers as well as sports and abstract art. There is always something to inspire and challenge you. Members of the club are drawn from all walks of life and cover all age ranges from students to those enjoying retirement.

At times members will be on hand to answer questions and help members of the public with any queries they may have about their own cameras or photography.

Stoneleigh Reading Group

 

The Stoneleigh Reading Group takes place on select Fridays throughout the year with the next one being on the 14th of June (2.30 pm – 3.30pm).

Pre-loved Clothes Market

Held at Bourne Hall Ewell, this market is for anyone wanting to sell pre-loved, second hand, vintage or even new clothes from their wardrobe. It’s held every third Saturday of the month with the next one being on  Saturday, 15th June (10am-2pm).

Entry is free, and you can expect to find clothing, shoes, bags, belts, hats, accessories and jewellery.

Games Day and Family Fun Festival 

Active Surrey is hosting a family fun festival in Guildford on Saturday, 15th June (9am-5pm), timed to coincide with Games Day (where young people who have taken part in activity training demonstrate new skills).

For children who haven’t done the spring training, this is an amazing chance to try something new, get active and most importantly have fun!

Children aged 6 and over can enjoy a range of amazing FREE activities such as…

Discovery Trail at St. Giles 

On Saturday, 15h June, there’s a trail going around St. Giles’ grounds and into the Church with lots of activities and the opportunity to be thoughtful and prayerful together as a family.

The Experience Day on Sunday, 16th June offers a mix of theoretical and practical learning to provide an overview of the lifecycle and craft of keeping a colony of honeybees. Epsom Library is hosting a Teddy Bear themed story time on Tuesday, 18th June (10.15am-11.00am).

Community Sunday Brunch and Morning Run 

Join the Epsom Vineyard Church on Sunday, 23rd June for its monthly FREE brunch. EVERYONE is welcome, just turn up from 10:30am.

For the early risers, the morning will start with a time of prayer and worship from 9.30am, and if you’re feeling like you want to be a little bit fitter, join its running group who set off at 10am.

Epsom & Ewell Model Railway Club – Open Day 

The Epsom & Ewell Model Railway Club invites you to its Open Day on Saturday, 22nd June (10am-5pm).

Founded in 1952,  the clubs’s membership now exceeds 60 members. Regular weekly meetings are supported by a varied programme of other events including illustrated presentations, outings and exhibitions.

The club exists to bring together those who reside in and around Epsom (NE Surrey & SW London) who are interested in the hobby of railway modelling.

Holiday Camps are back at Ebbisham Sports Club, with various dates available to book across the summer holiday period from 9.00am-3.00pm. Ebbisham will be running both Try-Sport camps and Badminton & Squash camps this summer.

The holiday camps are an ideal introduction to a variety of different sports for children aged 7-14 years old. They’re an enjoyable way for children to start playing sport and feature coaching, games and social activities. Children will learn new sports skills, make friends and grow their confidence.

This summer top vocal coach Roz McLeod CT ABRSM (Voice) is opening her Studio doors to anyone who would like to have a vocal coaching session or a series of sessions with her.

Roz has been working with singers, speakers, presenters, auditions and performers for 25 years and is highly qualified and the go-to person for all things vocal – her waiting list is testament to that! Whilst regular lessons with Roz are hard to book now as she only teaches a limited number of regular pupils, you can still get to work with her this summer.

Surrey Library Competition 


An exciting competition is taking place across Surrey until the 4th of September to encourage young people to celebrate ancient trees. It offers children the opportunity to have their artwork included in a new children’s book, The Thousand Year Tree.

The winning artwork will be featured on the inside covers of the book. Runner up prizes include book bundles and bookshop tokens.

Head to your local library and pick up one of the free competition templates at the front desk.
