You By Anthea / Transformation/Nutritional Therapy/PT/Yoga

Hi, I’m Anthea McCourtie – the face behind You By Anthea

I’m a registered Nutritional Therapist (BSc, mBANT, CNHC), level 3 Personal Trainer, and Yoga Teacher offering personalised transformation programmes to help you achieve your health goals.

Transformation programmes offer tailored nutritional therapy, at home or online; personal training and yoga to support weight loss and/or other health goals.

There is no calorie counting nor points involved. The emphasis is on nourishing your body, supported with realistic and sustainable portion and proportion control, with laboratory testing available and supplement recommendations where appropriate. Accountability is a key aspect of programmes, and as such we focus on achievable action points each week.

Personal training offers a wide range of activities including, kettlebells, TRX suspension training, Thai boxing, animal flow, as well as pre and post-natal training.

Vinyasa, ashtanga and yin yoga are offered, and I specialise in yoga for those who don’t always see themselves as the “non-yoga type”.

Corporate nutrition and fitness workshops are also offered.

You By Anthea focuses on empowering you to discover your best health, build your confidence and explore just what you are capable of!

  1. I have been attending her You Nutritional Therapy vinyasa yoga classes for a year and have seen progress in my abilities, strength and flexibility. Anthea’s teaching is encouraging, fun and inclusive. The classes are well planned, well rounded and varied, allowing you to work within your abilities, whilst providing opportunities for you to challenge yourself. The classes have a friendly and community feel to them, I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone interested in yoga, whether you are a complete beginner or a regular practitioner.

The classes are great value for money and Anthea provides thoughtful and tailored guidance and instruction. She gives lots of possible variations and adaptations for each pose which enables you to work to different levels based on your level of ability. Blocks and straps are provided which means you do not need to bring anything except a mat.

A positive, inclusive and encouraging yoga class.”

  2. “You Nutritional Therapy has surpassed my requirements. I begun personal training sessions with Anthea just over a year ago after the birth of my first child and in that time Anthea has motivated and supported me to transform my physical and mental health. Anthea took the time to understand how to get the best out of me and used that understanding to get me moving in a way I never thought possible. Her sessions are challenging but fun and she will always look to adapt things to your capability.

Value for money comes from Anthea genuinely loving what she does and wanting to help her clients transform and succeed. When training Anthea takes the time to teach good technic and provides alternatives to exercises which you can try outside of your sessions together. Anthea is constantly changing the exercise programme and the location bringing in new and fun things to try so it never gets boring. I haven’t purchased a nutrition programme but Anthea will still use her knowledge to give me some guidance to what’s best to eat to enhance training.

Anthea herself is the reason I’d recommend You Nutritional Therapy. Her dedication and passion for what she does really shines through and you know that she does what she does from a genuine place of wanting to help people. That coupled with Antheas knowledge, ability to push you whilst keeping things fun and competitive pricing make, You Nutritional Therapy excellent value for money.”

  3. “Anthea has provided the knowledge, motivation and flexibility to be able to include personal training and healthy eating in my very busy everyday life. Combining three personal training sessions per week and healthy eating worked better for me, as then I could clearly see the outcome of my effort and of the money spend. Anthea was also able to make a package deal for me, which was very helpful!

I enjoy my sessions with Anthea. This for me is important in order to maintain doing it. She is flexible to adjust the exercises to my needs on the day and this was very important during my pregnancy. I would also recommend her for her commitment, knowledge and her passion on what she does!

I first met Anthea approximately 2.5 years ago, as I wanted to loose my pregnancy weight. She allowed time to know me, my needs and life style and offered me a package of exercise and nutrition that not only helped me loose weight but also start enjoying exercising. I just gave birth now to my second child and I am looking forward to continue working with her to bring myself and my body back to normal.”
