Wandgas Cricket Club / Cricket Club

Wandgas Cricket Club prides itself as being a fun, family friendly and inclusive environment bringing cricket to the community regardless of ability. We offer junior cricket to boys and girls aged 5 upwards and senior cricket where we run 2 competitive Saturday Teams, an occasional Sunday social side and midweek T20 Team.

We will be running the popular ECB All Stars and Dynamos Cricket programs for Children aged 5-11. A great introduction into the game held at the club by our ECB accredited coaches. They offer a fun and natural progression in the sport and is a great opportunity for kids to develop a lifelong love of Cricket and to make new friends. Please see links below for more information and to book.

Wandgas strongly encourages families to come down to the club, a fully operational outdoor and indoor bar is available, enjoy a drink or two while your son or daughter is busy having fun playing cricket.

We have weekly training sessions on a Thursday evening for adults, we welcome anybody to get in contact and come down and try out our state of the art floodlit cricket nets. There are regular social events (golf days, meals out, BBQs) ensuring there is something for all members.

  1. “My Son has been a player at Wandgas since the age of 6, they have always been great at looking out for his wellbeing and assisting his development as an aspiring young cricketer. My Son is Type 1 Diabetic and throughout his childhood they have gone above and beyond to make sure that he is not at risk and is in good health.

Relative to other cricket clubs in the local area they are very reasonably priced and do not operate like a traditional business, they are more conscious of running a great club for kids and adults and promote cricket in the community. They also have a bar run by the main sports club which is very good value for money so a great reason for parents and family to attend training sessions and matches. They do not seek to make money off youth cricket and choose to reinvest funds into youth development. Everyone who coaches at the club is a volunteer who give up their own free time.

The family environment the club has is fantastic; the coaches are very knowledgeable and experienced.
    I would definitely recommend it.”
