Timpson Towers – Pinewoods Holiday Park, Norfolk / Holiday Home

Hi, I’m Jonathan Timpson a Epsom based father of 5……..yes 5………my 2 eldest daughters Charlotte and Emily, 26 and 23 respectively, live in The US with their mum (it’s a long story)…..my 3 sporty boys, Edward, Oliver and Alexander, 16, 14 and 11 respectively, live with their mum in Leatherhead and go to St John’s and Downsend.

I love photography, fishing, golf, bowling, gardening, walking, going to the gym, to name a few hobbies and I particularly like watching my boys play various different sports. My eldest Edward plays hockey for Surbiton and his U16’s team won the national championships held in Nottingham last weekend. A great occasion with the best possible result.

My affiliation with Norfolk started when I was a child and my 2 siblings and me went there with our parents. Initially going in a caravan to Cromer (until it was stollen !!!) and then we used to stay in a cottage in Salthouse. More recently for the past 3 years I have rented a static caravan in Pinewoods along with my sister.

I decided last year to look into the possibility of owning one myself and letting it out as a business. Ironically now that I own a ‘second home’ but don’t own my first – all rather backwards!

I am so impressed with the holiday home and the luxury that it has – home from home – There is an electric fire in the sitting room and central heating throughout. The sitting room has a Samsung Smart TV, with soundbar, DVD player and freeview satellite box. There is large selection of DVDs as well as an Xbox 360 with kinnect plus 6 games. Please bring your own controllers. Additionally there are built in bluetooth speakers in the ceiling as well as an MP3 socket. When I was last there I was playing The Greatest Showman through the speakers and basically had a party on my own! The kitchen has a dishwasher, washer/dryer, built in microwave and gas hob. There is also a floor to ceiling fridge/freezer. Everything you could want…….oh…..and FREE Wi-fi !!!

There is so much to do around Norfolk from walks, lovely beaches, seal trips, crab fishing (in Wells but you must try Blakeney), arcades, sea fishing, lovely restaurants, Fish n’Chips, market towns, ice cream parlours, crazy golf, sea life centres, activity centre and much more.

Please look at these 3 links:

Timpson Towers is not just a luxury holiday home but its location is fab as it’s only a 5 minute walk from the Beach and Beach cafe and a 10 minute walk into Wells, a stunning town, which is also very dog friendly.

Please enjoy and make it your home whilst you are there.

  1. “We had a wonderful mini break here, just what we all needed! The home is cosy, yet deceptively spacious, has every amenity you can think of, beautifully decorated, heating was amazing in the chilly evenings and beds were so comfortable. Our three girls felt very much at home!

We visited the harbour and the shops a few times, stopped off at the Edinburgh pub, ate fish and chips and went to the diner, visited the arcade and even won a toy on the grab machine (then had to bribe the owner to sell me one for our middle daughter!!!). We also visited the Beach Cafe and saw seals no more than 5m lazing on the beach and some swimming – a very special experience! The beach itself is so clean, beautiful sands. The onsite shop is great too.

I would recommend Timpson Towers because of the whole package, gorgeous holiday home, beautiful area, lots to sightsee.”

  2. “Timpson Towers met our requirements as a family perfectly, the luxury caravan was just right for us as a family of 4. We had excellent communication throughout with lots of personal touches which made a fantastic impression.

It was a truly enjoyable, smooth and hassle-free experience all round, a stunning location, spotless site and very child and dog friendly.”

  3. “We had a mini Easter break at Timpson Towers at the Pinewoods Holiday Park, Norfolk and had an amazing time despite the weather! The caravan was immaculate with a lovely, homely feeling and had everything we could need. We spent our first day exploring the area which again was very clean and popped briefly onto the beach before the rain set in for the evening and much to my daughter’s (aged 6) delight, we spotted Seals!

The following day was pouring with rain but that didn’t dampen our spirits, we popped onto the Caravan park’s mini train (£1.50 single fare per person) which took us into the seaside town and wandered around the delightful shops before stumbling across a lovely, reasonable pub called Edinburgh Inn to have a gorgeous meal. Then it was my Son’s (age 10) desire to spend our money in the arcades, the 2p slot machines were a big hit!

On Easter Daywe spent a couple of hours back on the beach, just wandering and collecting unusual shells plus Seal spotting again, 5 seen this time! Then back to the caravan (only 10 min walk) for lunch then we walked backed into town which took roughly 15 minutes to buy our souvenirs to remind us of this fab break!

I cannot recommend this accommodation and it’s setting highly enough – we will be back!”
