Mayfield Lavender / Shop and Cafe

Our Farm
Mayfield Lavender Farm is a 25-acre lavender farm with café and shop located in Banstead (Woodmansterne), Surrey – approximately 15 miles from Central London. Our farm is a popular visitor attraction throughout summer where you can wander through a sea of beautiful organic lavender. The lavender normally starts to bloom towards the middle to end of June and the peak time is July and August. During the peak of the season it can get very busy on weekends so we recommend that you plan a weekday visit if possible. Please remember that we do not permit picnics anywhere on our farm. We close for the season slightly earlier than usual, on 20th August.

When Mayfield Lavender Farm is open you can enjoy a delicious, fresh lunch or snack at our relaxed, al fresco café with picnic tables. We have lavender cream teas and Afternoon Tea hampers available. We are licensed to sell a range of alcoholic drinks including our unique lavender cider! Before you leave, don’t forget to visit our shop to buy one of our lavender plants for your garden, or simply treat yourself to our lavender products including toiletries, culinary treats or a beautiful bunch of fresh lavender.
Please remember that we do not permit food or picnics to be brought onto our farm.

Our Epsom Shop and Coffee Bar
The beautiful Mayfield shop and coffee bar in Epsom is the home of Mayfield Lavender during the farm’s off-peak times and is open throughout the year.
It’s packed full of our best selling lavender goods, new product lines, English wines, gift ideas, home range and more. Plus the coffee bar offers hot drinks, sandwiches and delicious locally baked cakes.
At the moment we have limited indoor seating but phase 2 of the project will see the opening of our new glasshouse cafe in the early spring which will complete the Mayfield Lavender Story. We will also be growing lavender at the new venue.

Located: at 139 Reigate Road, Epsom, KT17 3DW.

  1. ‘The lavender field is just a delight to be in, colour and smell! The products in shop were nicely selected and lavender related. In the café, the food was really lovely and homemade and the chef was happy to come out and talk to people ordering food. Overall a different experience with a Provencal vibe and an English twist close to London.’

  2. ‘It’s one of our must do’s in the summer holiday. The girls and childminding children always request a visit.
Always a friendly welcome as you arrive and plenty of photo opportunities.
It’s relaxing for everyone and the train is an extra bonus for younger children.
You can spend as long as you want there and the children are encouraged to catch bugs that harm the lavender in return for a treat.
It’s lovely for the whole family’

    – Rebecca Browne, Ewell

  3. ‘We’ve been to Mayfield Lavender every year since I was pregnant with my youngest (10 years ago), so we have beautiful memories from our annual family visits and because of that it is a very special local venue for us. We are so lucky to have an internationally-recognised place of beauty on our doorstep. We also LOVE the new cafe on Reigate Road. The food is delicious and they have the loveliest little shop.’
