Love Theatre Arts / Performing Arts classes

Love Theatre Arts is an independently run school based at Cheam High School that has been produced to provide a professional, fun, and enthusiastic home for children who wish to partake in the teachings of Musical Theatre & Dance. We look to put the arts into the hearts of children, and help them reach their goals however big or small they are.

Our aim is to open the eyes of children to the various theatrical opportunities they may wish to follow in the future. Love Theatre Arts provides the important role of infusing the passion of theatre into young children; to help them build their confidence, to nurture their imagination, and to keeping children fit focused and fuelled to learn through performing arts.

We are just one big theatrical family!

  1. “I work with Love Theatre Arts on a professional basis and they are a fabulous company.

I come in to contact with many performing arts schools and Love Theatre Arts stands out as one of the best. Students are lucky enough to be given access to many people working professional in the industry. Ranging from behind the camera and backstage to actors and directors giving pupils a real taste of what it is like to work in many different genres in the industry if this is of interest to them.

Their ethos is amazing and Nick and his team create vibrant and buzzing classes where everyone feels supported and involved.

They are very nurturing and inclusive and there is no distinguishing by the team of those students who wish to follow the dramatic arts as a career and those who just enjoy performing. All are welcomed.

They offer accessible, fun and enjoyable classes for everyone who attends.

    I would recommend them highly.”

  2. “As someone who has worked in the Performing Arts for over 30 years, I hope I’ve learned to recognise when I’m in the presence of talent, and when excellent teaching is helping that talent to reach its full potential.

As an Actor, Acting Coach, and now as the Headteacher of the UK’s number one Performing Arts school, I often receive requests from other Performing Arts schools, both full-time and part-time, to run training for staff, offer a Masterclass to students, or to endorse the work of a school in some way.

But as Headteacher of ArtsEd Day School and Sixth Form I couldn’t put my name to anything that wasn’t truly excellent in all that it was doing to provide an outstanding education for young people, and so I have often had to decline these kind invitations. However, when I saw Love Theatre Arts at work in 2016 at The Nonsuch Fair, and was invited to see their end of year show at The Adrian Mann Theatre, I couldn’t say no, as the excellence I look for in everything we do at ArtsEd was echoed in all that was happening at LTA. Their end of year showcase was simply fantastic, and having now visited Love Theatre Arts on several occasions to watch the teaching, meet the Team, and see the students rehearsing, I can honestly say that their school is one of only very, very few part-time schools that would earn the mark of excellence I look for in performing arts education.

I cannot recommend Nick, Hannah, and the Team highly enough, and I know that the young people who choose to study with LTA will be choosing to learn and train with the very best”.

  3. “My children get so much enjoyment from everything they do at Love Theatre Arts. They missed LTA at the beginning of lockdown and were delighted at all the hard work Hannah, Nick and the team put in to adapting to working remotely, still giving the same enjoyment.

Nick and Hannah are completely committed to all the children and know them all individually and draw out their strengths and are positive whether they are talented or just enjoy performing. During lockdown they gave everyone the opportunity to trial classes they hadn’t done before.

The love, joy and enthusiasm Nick and Hannah have always make everyone smile. They genuinely love what they do and they share that with the children. They can always find something to compliment every single child and build their confidence and belief in themselves.”
