SUNDAY ROAST @ THE COCK INN #REVIEW…

What better way to spend a Sunday than in a country pub with your favourite people – set in the stunning rolling Surrey Hills in Headley (only 10 mins from Epsom) The Cock Inn is a firm favourite to many.
The pub has a warm atmosphere and the staff are really helpful and friendly. We were very well looked after by Molly and Darek (the manager) when we arrived for our family dinner last weekend.
The menu caters for everyone with the firm pub favourites including lightbites: Ancient Grain Sourdough, Marinated Olives, Homemade soup of the day, Wholegrain mustard cocktail sausages, Bang Bang Cauliflower and for main a great selection of: Beer battered Haddock and Chips, Risotto, Chicken and Beef Burgers as well as a Veggie and Vegan option.
On Sundays, the menu offers roast all served with Beef Dripping Yorkshire Pudding, Tender Vegetables, Roasted Roots, Garlic and Rosemary Roast Potatoes and their own House Gravy.
You can choose from:
Half Roast Norfolk Chicken
Honey Roast Belly of English Pork
Dry Aged Rump of British Beef
Truffled Celeriac and Mushroom Pithivier
We went with 2 x Roast Chicken, 1 x Beef and 1 x Cock Inn Beef Burger and the feedback all round was it was “absolutely delicious”
There are also plenty of options for dessert:
Crumble served with Custard or Ice-cream
Homemade Cheesecake
Chocolate Fudge cake with Ice-cream
Sticky Toffee pudding with Ice-cream
A selection of Gelato
Being suitably fully we could only manage to share the Sticky Toffee pudding which was just perfect.
If you fancy a Sunday Roast in a delightful countryside setting I would recommend you give The Cock Inn, Headley you will feel a million miles away from the bustle of town life.

Christmas Wreath Making
The Cock Inn have organised a festive two hour hands-on Christmas workshop on Friday 5th December, 6.30pm-8.30pm they will take you through the process of creating your own wreath. No experience necessary just a willingness to get stuck in.
Your kit will include: Mossed wreath frame, festive foliages, natural decorations and a choice in luxury bow.
