STAY POSITIVE – FACE BEHIND THE POSITIVE, ALAN WILSON DENTISTRY
Posted by Devenia Besant on 22 May 2020
⭐️ Tell us a bit about you and your business?
We’re a family run Dental Practice situated on the main street in Epsom called Alan Wilson Dentistry. Alan is the lead clinician and he has a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry and Dental Implants. We offer all general dental services along with specialist dental care. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service, skilled dental work in a purpose built state of the art Dental Practice.
⭐️ What’s changed for your business since the outbreak of Covid-19?
We’ve been advised to cease all routine dental care since the outbreak of Covid 19. Essentially we’ve had to temporarily close the practice but we are available to answer emergency calls and offer advice. We realise that some elements of Dentistry will be very different when we return to work. We’ve been planning how we can make our environment as safe as possible for our patients. We’re fortunate that we have a large patient lounge so social distancing will be straightforward. Our sterilisation room and equipment is modern and we will look to maintain out high level of cleaniness. Lastly we’ve invested in ” Surgically Clean Air ” units which kill over 99.9% of all viruses and bacteria and will circulate clean air constantly.
⭐️ What are you looking forward to when lock down is over?
Many things. We’ve only been open a year and we’ve really enjoyed our first year – it’s been a whirlwind and very exciting. We’re looking forward to looking after all our lovely patients who have joined us over the last year once again. We’re excited to work with our friend and colleagues again and appreciate the beautiful environment that our workplace is. It will just be great to return to some form of normality and get a nice balance once again between home life and work life.
⭐️ Lastly what’s your positive message to help others through this?
We believe sometimes it best to take a step back from the business. If you’re overwhelmed, have a staycation in your back garden or patio, read a book and sip a beverage over lunchtime. Sometimes running a business can become an obsession and you can become disillusioned at times like this. Our message would be that you should look after your physical and mental health first and then you’ll come back to your business with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
