STAY POSITIVE – FACE BEHIND THE BUSINESS, SOPHIE EASTOP-SCOPES VIRTUAL ASSITANT
Posted by Devenia Besant on 11 Jun 2020
⭐️Tell us a bit about you and your business?
Hi, I’m Sophie Eastop-Scopes, a virtual assistant; supporting small businesses with admin, social media and marketing woes. I am mummy to a 5 year-ninja, wife and film-fanatic trying as best I can to offer a professional, supportive and knowledgeable service to my clients.
⭐️ What’s changed for your business since the outbreak of Covid-19
There has been a reduction in admin clients due to the obvious reduction and limitation felt across the whole business world! But my specialities also include social media and marketing, which have increased over the pandemic due to business owners needing to find alternative ways to work now! A lot of what I do hasn’t changes at all, but how I work has changed dramatically. Juggling working alongside homeschooling and my husband still working full time as a front-line NHS keyworker has been a juggle and one I am proud to be surviving (fingers crossed and with the help of very lovely and understanding clients!).
⭐️ What are you looking forward to now that lock down is easing?
Being able to work normal working hours (Although if you know me well you’ll know I’m a bit of a night owl anyway- I just prefer it being a choice rather than a must!). Mostly looking forward to being able to take my boy to his favourite restaurant (Nandos) and having a fun day out making memories without limitations or explaining social distancing!
⭐️ Lastly what’s your positive message to help others through this?
Working for yourself doesn’t mean working by yourself! There are lots of people (professionally and personally) who are here to support you and listen. I am very lucky to be a part of many supportive circles, including the Epsom and Ewell Families team and would encourage anyone struggling to speak up and reach out whenever needed. Sometimes you don’t realise the kindness that surronds you until you ask.
