STAY POSITIVE – FACE BEHIND THE BUSINESS, REBECCA AMIN CAREER COACH
Posted by Devenia Besant on 04 Jun 2020
⭐️ Tells us a bit you and your business?
I’m Rebecca Amin a Career Coach mainly helping mums who feel stuck in their careers. Who have lost their passion for a career they were once motivated by since having children. I work with those clients, via 1:1 coaching sessions, to work out which path to take to get back to being career happy. I also work with some small businesses to support their maternity returners.
⭐️ What’s changed in my business since Covid-19?
Since the outbreak not too much has changed in terms of how I work. I was working via online calling a lot anyway so this is still the same. That said I had previously met local clients face to face, so of course that is not possible at the moment. I have actually found several clients coming forward having been unhappy in their careers for a while and this situation has triggered them to start taking steps to sort things out!
Since the outbreak I have also naturally pivoted a little to be speaking to people that may not have expected or wanted a career change, but it is happening anyway due to possible redundancy. The principles are the same, however I have developed a more intensive course for those that know what they want to do, but want support to ensure they make the right next step, not just jump to anything.
⭐️ What are you looking forward to when lockdown is fully over?
Business wise I am looking forward to face to face networking and coaching and attending events. Personally I am most looking forward to seeing my family and my parents finally being to see and hug their grandchildren again.
⭐️ Lastly what’s your positive message to help others?
Everything is temporary. The things we can’t control like the lockdown, the uncertainty the separation from loved ones. We do still have control over some things, so only focus on these. If career unhappiness is an issue for you it is in your control, so take action to move forward. It may feel hard, even impossible, in which case, seek support from friends, family, colleagues or someone like me!
