Tell us a bit about you and your business?

I’m Gaby and I’m a wife and mummy of two 😊. My business Gabrielle Taylor Utility Broker is focused all around saving people time and money on their utility bills for both domestic and business utilities. I started my business so I that I had the flexibility to work around the children and also because I love helping people, so being able to help people save money on their household bills and business outgoings fits in perfectly with my values.

What’s changed for your business since the outbreak of Covid-19?

The actual business hasn’t changed at all, we still help people with their utility bills and offer great customer service but since Covid-19 instead of meeting clients face to face I’ve had to transition to online, opening up a whole new world to me that is zoom. I’ve now got an online presentation which allows me to still show how you can save money on your bills. It’s not part of the business as such but I also like the fact that the presentation can show people how they are currently spending their money and how they can potentially budget going forward. I’m always happy to spend as long with each person / couple as they would like and as everyone is at home I found this is a great time to do it.

Also since the outbreak the company I’m partnered with for domestic utilities have changed their charity partner temporarily to NHS, this is fantastic as the NHS are working so hard for us all. 💙

What are you looking forward to when lock down is over?

After lock down I’m looking forward to meeting people face to face. Working from home has its plus points but I love building relationships with people and there’s no better way than face to face meetings.

I’m also looking forward to visiting local businesses All Things Nice for their yummy jacket potatoes, Yo Sarnie for a Jerk Chicken & Halloumi salad, Mandalina for a Spinach and Feta waffle and finally booking in a visit to Lisa’s in Ewell Village for some beauty angel treatments…that’s been on my list of things I wanted to do for a while.

Lastly what’s been positive for you throughout this?

Enjoy your time with family, take time to do all the things you don’t usually have the time to do. Use your time to invest in yourself, reading, training. Plan for your future and keep smiling.
