STAY POSITIVE – FACE BEHIND THE BUSINESS, EZEESPORT FOR CHILDREN

⭐️ Tell us a bit about you and your business?
Hello everyone, Peter and I run a sports coaching business called EzeeSport for children, teaching fundamental sport skills to children aged 2 – 11. We have 32 years coaching experience between us. We run after school clubs at local schools in Epsom & Ewell, Saturday classes and classes for tots during the school day. We also run children’s birthday parties and holiday camps.
⭐️ What’s changed for your business since the outbreak of Covid-19?
Since the Covid-19 outbreak and the lockdown, we have not been able to run our classes in schools and holiday camps. Like so many other businesses who work with children, everything came to an abrupt end when the schools closed for the lockdown.
We did do a few zoom classes but found this really stressful so decided to pre-record videos for our parents and children to access on a weekly basis on our YouTube Channel. We have found it tricky adjusting to this new way of doing things. Coming up with sport skills kids can do in a small space as well as thinking of skills and games they can do without other children has been challenging. It took us a little while to figure out how to do this, but now that we have a formula, we are feeling a lot more confident in front of the camera. We have made these video’s available for FREE to parents during the lockdown. Parents can use these videos to help their children keep up with their sport skills and stay active during the lockdown. We have also been doing some challenges which are available on our Facebook and Instagram pages. We would be most grateful if could subscribe to our channel and share these videos with your friends. This way you will be helping us to keep EzeeSport going until we can be back in front of our classes.
We have a number of video classes available for children aged 3 – 4 years and 5 – 8 years available on YouTube. They do require sports equipment, but the list of what is needed is listed in the comments section of the video and we also let you know at the beginning of the videos what is needed. ⭐️ What are you looking forward to when lock down is over?
We are looking forward to hearing children laughing and having fun again and seeing the joy on their faces as we interact with them face to face in our classes and clubs.
⭐️ Lastly what’s your positive message to help others through this?
As long and drawn out as it has been, it will end and we will eventually can get back to life as it once was.
We may even look back with some longing for some of the quality time we had during lockdown. Time to slow down and take stock of what really matters to us, time to catch up with friends and family we haven’t had time to for in the past and time to spend together as a family learning to reconnect in a whole new way.
Keep on counting your blessings and find ways to be there for someone else. When you take your eyes off your own problems and help someone else you will experience the joy that comes from giving of yourself.
