It’s been a few weeks now since the long awaited launch of the new Play Park at The Rainbow Leisure Centre in Epsom and myself and Elliott (my 19 month old) jumped at the chance to visit.

As soon as you enter the Leisure centre there is a designated desk for play park bookings meaning it is easier and quicker to queue and pay.  You are given a key code for entering the play-park door which means only those who have paid for the play park can enter giving peace of mind in regards to safeguarding your child.

There are two soft play areas. One being suitable for 0-2years and the other for 2-10 years however Elliott seemed to like all of it!

I was amazed by how large the park park is and how many sensory areas there were that had been incorporated into the soft play for example, there were high definition video images of sea life playing on the floor of the baby and toddler area, there is an interactive keyboard in which you activate sounds by your toddler pressing the keys with their feet, which Elliott and I found hilarious, additionally there is a ball juggling machine within the ball pit!

Within the soft play area there is also an impressive mini sports pitch, 4 lane wavy slide, and an 180 degree slide as well as all the other expected features you would find in a soft play venue.

The seating and cafe area is adjacent to the play park which meant you could enjoy a snack or a coffee whilst supervising your child. There is also secluded seating if you wanted privacy during feeding which you wished.

Katie Nixon, community sports manager of the Play Park explained that it has been something that has been welcomed to Epsom & Ewell and there has been lot’s of excitement about it. She also informed me that they also offer party packages which include; hire of the party room, an activity leader and food at £15 per head. (30max)

I definitely recommend a visit.
