As the warmer weather finally begins to take hold, it’s worth remembering that some of our local pubs have garden spaces and play areas which are perfect for keeping little ones entertained. Here are just a few;
1. The Beefeater – Tattenham Corner
The Tattenham Corner has been a fixture in Epsom since it was built over 80 years ago in 1932. The Beefeater has a spacious restaurant and bar area, complete with a conservatory and a large beer garden with play area – perfect for keeping the kids busy before dinner’s ready. Close to the Epsom Downs Racecourse, and you can see the final furlong from the pub garden!
2. The Star – Leatherhead
Situated 3 minutes from Junction 9 of the M25, and 5 minutes from Chessington World of Adventures, The Star is the perfect meeting place. With Garden Pods, Dining Huts, a fabulous stretch tent the garden and patio areas perfect for alfresco dining all year round with a rear garden play area perfect for little ones.
3. The Woodman – Banstead
The Woodman is located in the picturesque village of Woodmansterne, just outside of Banstead, in Surrey. With the village cricket pitch opposite and a large garden and kids’ playground to the rear.
And if you’re up for venturing slightly further afield;
4. The Dog and Duck – Redhill
The pub is located in the lovely village of Outwood, Surrey. There is an abundance of wildlife, views and lovely walks for you to indulge in when visiting. There is an incredible children’s play area at the back of the pub, which the kids love and is perfect for any family looking to cater for all. Dee recently sampled the roast dinner here and gave it a big thumbs up!
These are just a few of our pub picks for you to visit with the family this Summer, watch out for our next instalment… enjoy!
