PETER RABBIT AT THE EPSOM ODEON

Posted by Devenia Besant on 31 Mar 2018

I loved the trailer for this film only I didn’t have anyone to go to see it with, my eldest son at 13 had no interest in going to see it for obvious reasons, my daughter who is 10 wasn’t to fussed about seeing it and my youngest son who is 5 has refused to go to the cinema for the last 2 years.  I can’t remember what it was we last went to see but he wasn’t impressed and that coupled with his fear of the dark meant whenever we asked him whether he would like to go and watch a film at the cinema he refused, the last time saying “no way, no how” ha ha.  So when I managed to persuade him yesterday to go and see it today  I was extremely happy that he was facing his fear and selfishly that I would get to see the film (can you tell I don’t get out much!!!!).

Anyway on to the film – if you are looking for things to do this Easter Holiday’s (and let’s face it the weather isn’t looking to be great) then I highly recommend you go and see this film, it is easy to watch, funny with lot’s of action, do not expect the sweet characters and beautiful stories that you would find in the books.  Peter is both cheeky and endearing, he did do some things with negative results but he saw the error of his ways, apologised and did his best to rectify his wrong doings so some good lessons to be learnt.  Music in the film was fab too.  I know there were some bad reviews regarding the referencing to food allergies but as a mum of a child with a nut allergy I did not find it offensive at all.  My son said he “loved it” and I would definitely take my 10 year old daughter to see it.

For more details about this film and to book tickets ‘hop” on to the Odeon website here.  It looks like the film is being shown daily at 10.40, 12.00, 13.00, 13.40, 14.20, 15.30, 16.40 and 18.00 but please do check first.

Have a great Easter break!

Dee xx
