October Market Days – Epsom and Ewell Village

Posted by Francesca De Franco on 30 Sep 2022

The inaugural Ewell Village Artisan Market (held on the 3rd of September) was a great success and there was certainly a buzz. It’s a much welcome addition to the village. Read on to find out what you can expect from the next one.

In addition to the new Ewell Village market, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council runs regular Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (includes French stalls from UK-based traders) and Saturday markets in Epsom Marketplace. These host a range of stalls selling fresh, local products such as pastries, fresh bread, herbs and spices, fashion, jewellery, skincare products and more .

Alongside these there are a number of speciality markets throughout the month. These include vegan, antiques, arts and crafts and speciality cuisine.

There’s more below about each of the ones happening this month. If you’re interested in becoming a trader, check out my post here.

At the first market, visitors were treated to an array of goods including: wooden hand crafted gifts and toys, art, decor and vintage items; homewares, honey and beeswax products, handmade jewellery, fresh pastries and artisan breads; speciality coffee, award-winning preserves, herbs and spices; ladies clothing and accessories; handmade soap, body butters and vegan skincare products, bamboo eco-friendly products and more!

Starting on Saturday, 1st October, in addition to the above, there’ll be face and body painting, festival glitter, handmade face and body gems, a local artist selling oil and acrylic paintings, limited edition prints, greetings cards and printed tote bags; kids clothing, greetings cards and nursery artwork plus a brocante and handmade goods stall.

Vegan Market

The Vegan Market – run by ethical vegan events – now takes place on a bi-monthly basis on the fourth Sunday of the month.

There’s a wide variety of vegan foods, products and produce and an impressive roster of regular stall holders that you’ll find on the market bi-monthly alongside new traders:

There’s everything from Nordic wellness drinks, spirits, free from cakes and date coffee to eco-friendly toiletries, dog superfood, faux fried chicken and cannabinoids.

Art & Craft Makers Market

This market is comprised of 30 plus stalls celebrating artists and craft makers from Epsom, across Surrey and beyond. You’ll find an eclectic mix of handmade work which can be purchased directly from the artist or maker.

The next Art & Craft Makers Market is on Sunday, 30th October (10am – 4pm).
