ME TIME WITH NATI LITTLE THINGS
Posted by Kat Heath on 05 Nov 2018
My ability to sit down and relax is far and few in between right now and funnily enough mindfulness and crafting are two phrases that are simply not part of my remit whilst dealing with family life. However on Friday (2nd November) I carved out some “me” time (Elliott, my sleeping 8 month old in tow) to attend an embroidery workshop held by the super talented and lovely Nati Denniff-Jones from Nati Little Things.
The class was held in the morning at the beautiful All Things Nice cafe in Ewell Village where a table was set up with individual candy stripped bags containing all the materials and literature you need to create a beautiful piece of embroidery designed by Nati herself.
During the class Nati guides you through the embroidery and is on hand throughout for any help you need with your creation. I found the atmosphere to be calming, I was surrounded with some really lovely women and we chatted and were supplied with gorgeous coffee and cake (all included in the price of the workshop – bonus!).
What’s funny is as soon as the class started I was immediately transported back into the carefree days of my textile lessons at school and it felt lovely to take some time out from being a mum and be mindful creating something using my hands, I really did have a great time.
For on-going support and in addition to the workshop Nati invites you to join a private Facebook community which gives you free tutorial support allowing you to continue your embroidery at home, meaning you can continue the mindfulness of embroidery at home.
Nati runs classes from her home on Mondays as well as offering various seasonal workshops at All Things Nice in Ewell Village.
For more information do get in touch with Nati, I really do recommend you give one of her classes a try.
