Located in the heart of Epsom, the multi-award winning Epsom Social is Surrey’s first food hall – spotlighting the best of the London and Surrey street food scene.

At Epsom Social, our top team ensure that our customers experience the best of global food, drink and events all under one roof.

Our food hall features six tempting kitchens offering a range of cuisines and innovative menus. We now operate two of these kitchens internally and are developing a third concept to launch in late spring. The venue is well established in Epsom and we are growing with the launch and operation of these food concepts internally.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant / Events Manager to join our team in organising and executing successful events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and guest services, with a keen eye for detail.

You will be working on very closely with the General Manager in the seamless running of the Foodhall operation. Your role would mainly be focused on managing all events, event bookings as well as table bookings to ensure guests satisfaction as well as our standards are met. You would be responsible for opening and closing of the venue on a shift by shift basis. You would also be responsible for working with external partners to ensure that our external events are delivered to the required standards.

Daily Tasks

· Work closely with the General Manager to ensure events bookings are delivered to the appropriate standards.

· Managing the delivery of all event and table bookings to ensure guests are satisfied and the standards are met.

· Ensure weekly event bookings requirements are

· Assist in building Sales/BDM strategies

· Provide ideas to enhance sales where applicable.

· Assist Marketing Team with content on events, food, music and drinks where applicable.

· Cultivating and establishing great relationships with local corporate and regular private clients.

· Updating TV and other promotional reels.

· Opening and Closing the venue. Whilst we do not envisage you doing closing shifts regularly; you will be required to do as and when required by the business.

· Pro actively reaching out to corporate database to push the current events and marketing initiatives.

· You would be required to be present for your exclusive hire and key external events.

– Proven experience in event planning or hospitality industry is advantageous
– Strong time management skills to meet deadlines effectively
– Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, vendors, and team members
– Familiarity with fundraising practices within events is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
