Epsom Square may be tucked away from the high street but it is a buzzing hive of activity, with something for everyone to enjoy (and more coming soon). From places to entertain the kids to fantastic restaurants and bars.

If you’ve not discovered this little local gem, behind our high street, here is what you can find –

Epsom Social is Surrey’s first food hall – with a focus on bringing the best of the London and Surrey street food scene right to our doorsteps. It’s the perfect spot for any crowd – with various street food vendors serving food to satisfy any palate. It has a great ambience and activities and games available. Plus, they have incredible events: fashion shows, comedy nights, and more.

You can find them at:

1 Derby Square
KT19 8AG

Visit their website here for more information including how to book their events and activities.

Kanzzi Sushi & Grill is one of our family favourites. They serve traditional Japanese-style dishes but they also have some incredible fusion dishes (tuna tacos with jalapeños and their warm volcano roll) that are absolutely delicious. I’ve tried most of the menu, and there is not a single dish that I didn’t enjoy. Kanzzi offers a casual dining experience with a focus on the highest quality of products. Their daytime bento menus are great value for money too.

You can find them at:

4 Derby Square
KT19 8AG

Visit their website here for more information, and enquire about their private room, if you have a special occasion.

The Ginistry opened its doors, in Epsom, in the summer of 2023. The aim was to create an intimate bar with quirky interior and a great atmosphere, where the star of the show is gin. With a huge range of gins from around the world, and some non-alcoholic gins too, this bar is the ultimate gin-lovers paradise.

You can find them at:

38 The Oaks Square
KT19 8AS

Visit their website here for more information, and have a look at their events: quiz nights, live music and brunches.

No matter the occasion, Be At One have got the music, (over 100) cocktails, a photo booth to save those night-out memories and the vibe to get the party started. They also have cocktail masterclasses if you’re looking for something a bit different.

You can find them at:

10 Derby Square
KT19 8AG

Visit the website here for more information, and to enquire about their masterclasses, happy hour offers and more.

All of the above are listed on the Epsom and Ewell Families Directory (and are vetted and recommended by locals).

And around the rest of Epsom Square, you can find:

Inside the main building: Epsom Library puts on a number of community events including Rhyme Time, Story Time, Poetry Workshops, Digital Skills, Author Events and more, keep an eye on their event page for more details. You can also borrow books and they have a fantastic book sale, where you can find your next reading adventure from as little as 50p.

Ambition Dance Studio offer a variety of classes including Ballet, Tap, Modern & Disco, Musical Theatre, Gymnastics Dance, Contemporary & Lyrical and Pop Dance.  You also have Rascals Soft Play, Anytime Fitness and Esquires Cafe.

Other businesses on the Square include Snippety Do Dahs, Blacks Burgers, Nando’s, Everest Spice and if you fancy some street food, you can find Jooby and Eat’s in the cabins.

You may have also noticed that the builders are back at Epsom Picturehouse. As a film lover, and especially a lover of arthouse and independent film, I am so excited for it to open (they announced that it would be happening this year). But fear not, if you prefer blockbusters, they will have them too. Plus a restaurant, bar and events.

Hopefully see you on the Square soon.
