Joe Wicks (aka The Body Coach) inspired the nation to keep moving during lockdown. PE With Joe began on Monday 23rd March 2020 in response to the coronavirus pandemic and the UK lockdown. When it was announced that all schools would be closed and with the prospect of us all spending more time at home, it was more important than ever that we kept moving and stayed healthy and positive. However, what some of you might not know is that Joe Wicks actually grew up in Epsom, attending Blenheim High School and later Nescot College.

Last Saturday Joe came back to his home town for a 5km morning run at Nonsuch Park, along with members of the public who had seen his plans posted on social media. From babies in buggies and dogs on leads, to teens and adults – everyone was encouraged to join in at their own pace.

So with fitness at the forefront of our minds it seemed like a good time to highlight the free weekly Parkrun which is held every Saturday morning at Nonsuch Park;

I’m Sammy and I live in Surrey with my two children and crazy labrador. When I’m not working in my fashion business, I enjoy all things social - from days out with the kids and relaxing spa breaks to nights out with the girls. I love good food, shopping, karaoke, dog walks and fun outdoor activities - so I’m looking forward to sharing some of my adventures with Epsom and Ewell Families.
