Posted by Devenia Besant on 16 Oct 2018

The count down is on for Epsom and Ewell’s very first film festival – the Satisfied Eye International Film Festival, it’s been a a year in the making and it looks like it’s going to be amazing.  The creator Chris Hastings has said from the 26th – 28th October expect “three days of pure awesomeness” and having met Chris I totally believe it.

As well as great films and great street food, FREE family fun over the three days includes arts and crafts at The Ashley Centre on Friday 26th October and on Saturday 27th October pop down to the centre for your chance to watch four children’s short films, Big Boom, Perched, Robot & Scarecrow and Litterbugs, these are being shown on the hour every hour from 12pm – 4pm.  On both days the children can get their faces painted.

The official Grand Opening of the festival kicks off on Friday 26th October in Epsom Square, there will be a DJ, music, dancing and prizes from 3pm, kids (and parents) can come dressed up – all species will be  welcomed!!!!

The main event starts at 5.30pm and you will be able to watch stuntmen from Rogue One performing death defying stunts from the roof top….exciting!  If you are feeling peckish then you can treat yourselves to some street food from Curry or Naanstop on the High Street.

First film screening then starts at 6.45 sharp at the Epsom Playhouse.  Saturday and Sunday’s film program is also totally jam packed with great films from 10am, you will find full details and can purchase tickets here.

Now if all of that isn’t fabulous enough the festival ends with a Gala Red Carpet Awards Ceremony on Sunday 28th October – check Epsom out Oscars of our own!!!

At Epsom Downs Racecourse doors open at 5pm with the ceremony starting at 5.30pm, tickets are just £20 per person, rub shoulders with the film makers and enjoy food and drink.

See you there!
