ESCAPE TO TURKEY
Posted by Devenia Besant on 10 May 2018
I was speaking to independent Travel Agent Raine Martin this week about funnily enough travel destinations!!! I’m yet to book our Summer holiday and wanted to know about some of the go to hotels in Turkey. As sharing is caring I asked her to write a list that I could share with you that maybe of interest for this year or Summer 2019. So here goes from budget to luxury:
Budget Family – Club Alize, Mamaris.
A super-friendly apart-hotel in Marmaris with great facilities, delicious dining and fabulous service. It is ideally located 750 m from the beach. It has a great value all inclusive programme. There is a choice of pools, a semi-Olympic main pool, kid’s pool and a jacuzzi. There are colourful slides and a kids club and a large sun terrace and spa for those who would like to take it easy. The hotel has a dedicated entertainment team to organise daily activities.
All Inclusive family holiday – Club Med Palmiye, Kemer.
This is a perfect family resort situated between the endless Taurus mountains and the clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. It is gourmet all inclusive with kids clubs from 4 months -17 years and offers tons of land and water sports and evening entertainment. Older kids can take part in activities such as the flying trapeze, tennis, sailing and hiking. For family accommodation you can choose from bungalows, suites to interconnection rooms.
Water park holiday – Gural Premier Belek, Belek.
Enjoy a luxury beach holiday 1 km from the shops, bars and restaurants of Belek. This all-inclusive hotel boasts an on site waterpark with five different pools and slides for all ages, whirlpools and a pirate ship. Younger guests can enjoy the kids club aimed at 4 – 12 year olds whilst the parents relax in the wonderful spa.
Luxury family holiday – Hillside Beach Resort, Fethiye.
This luxury family hotel offers excellent facilities, friendly service and beautiful views. It has a private beach and two adult only beaches where you can enjoy the various watersports. This hotel offers a full board option offering you a chance to try out delicious Turkish and international dishes throughout the day. Why not try out a yoga or pilates lesson or enjoy the spa whilst the kids visit the kids’ club. Kids have plenty to do with two pool with waterslides, a mini-disco and evening entertainment.
Couples only – TUI Sensimar Barut Andiz, Side.
This adults-only hotel is wonderfully situated a couple of minutes’ walk from a private beach and a 20 minute stroll into Side. It has a host of bars and three restaurants for you to sample during your stay and offers low-key entertainment. Up on the rooftop there is a ‘serve yourself’ bar with live music twice a week, whilst the pool area also has a bar and beautiful trees offering natural shade. The Hotel offers a wide variety of activities including wine-tasting, cocktail making, pilates, yoga and tai chi to name a few.
All sounds great with something for everyone! If you are like me and have been a bit lastminute.com when booking your holiday for this year (or you want to be super organised for next year) then do give Raine a shout, being a mum of 4 herself she definitely knows the in and outs of what is needed for a great family holiday.
You can find her details here and the added bonus is her service to you is FREE and really does take the stress out of finding the right holiday for you.
