Epsom & Ewell Borough Council is continuing to offer free parking in most of its car parks as it supports key workers through the Covid19 pandemic.

The majority of council car parks will remain open during their usual operating hours to also ensure residents can undertake essential journeys, including food shopping and visiting pharmacies.

Councillor Neil Dallen, Chairman of Environment & Safe Communities Committee, said “The suspension of parking charges is to help keyworkers, people shopping for essential food and medical supplies and those running errands in support of the extremely vulnerable. We want them to be able to carry out their tasks as quickly and safely as possible.

“It is really important, however, that people always remember to park considerately and continue to follow government guidance about avoiding any unnecessary travel”.

Town Hall, Hope Lodge and Bourne Hall car parks have been excluded from this arrangement to protect parking for the emergency services, critical workers and volunteers, for whom separate arrangements are in place.

Car parks where charges are suspended are:

🚗 Ashley Centre

🚗 Depot Road

🚗Epsom Gateway (Saturdays only)

🚗 Hook Road

🚗 Upper High Street

🚗 West Hill

🚗 Ewell

🚗 Dorset House

🚗 High Street

Stay home, stay safe and only travel if essential.
