ROLES AT NESCOT COLLEGE
Adult Skills 4 Work Tutors in Children and Education
Casual hours (as agreed with your line manager) will be based on tutor rate
£15.55 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tutor in Children and Education focussing on a range of subjects including areas such as Supporting Teaching and Learning, Preparing to work in schools, Caring for Children and Young People, Support Work in Schools and Colleges, Award in Education etc The successful candidate will be based within our Adult Skills 4 Work & Employer Services Team.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the delivery of a high-quality assessment service for our adult students, providing relevant information and advice and guidance in relation to Children and Education.

You will hold GCSEs and/or level 2 Functional Skills qualifications and also hold an appropriate qualification at level 3 or above in, for example, Educational Guidance, Educational Support, teaching or assessment or be willing to work towards one. You should have an appropriate Children and Education qualification and vocational experience. Previous experience of assessment in an education, training or work based setting is necessary and therefore, an assessor award would be a distinct advantage.

This position involves working at our college campus in Epsom providing dedicated learning experiences at different levels depending on demand.

⭐️ Assessor IQA (Internal Quality Assessor) within our Adult /skills 4 Work & Employer Services Team.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality assessment and internal quality assurance services for our adult students, providing relevant information and advice and guidance in relation to teaching and learning. You will work across the department to support staff in the IQA process.

Recruiting for someone with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build effective external relationships and work independently. You will be delivering high quality vocational training to a diverse range of learners aspiring to be successful in their chosen field.

Previous relevant assessor experience is required, together with a recognised industry qualification to level 4. Applicants should have experience of internal verification and must hold their AQA/A1 Award, IQA Award (or equivalent) and a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).

You must be IT literate with a knowledge of Microsoft office applications. You may be required to travel and therefore a full UK driving license would be beneficial.

ROLES AT NESTOTS:

Nestots is the College’s successful onsite Nursery, it provides child care support for babies and children up to five years olds. We require a qualified Nursery Practitioner (NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent) with experience of working with children age 3 – 4 years to work full time in this busy nursery.

⭐️ Nursery Practitioner – Maternity Cover
Circa £20k

You will need to have experience with planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), to a high standard, and ensuring the children’s learning and activities are extended.

You will ensure that planning; observations, activities and the children’s profiles are up to date and link with the EYFS and the Statutory Guidelines.
You will need to work in close partnership with parents and liaise with them on a daily basis.

Please note that this is a post under Nescot Enterprises which has different terms and conditions to that of Nescot College

Hours of work are Monday – Friday 8.00 am – 17.00pm or 9.00am – 18.00pm
Closing date is Sunday 2 February 2020

⭐️ Casual/Bank Nursery Practitioners

£12.97 per hour(more for exceptional candidates) 

You will be preferable to have experience implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), to a high standard, and ensuring the children’s learning and activities are extended.

You will ensure that planning; observations, activities and the children’s profiles are up to date and link with the EYFS and the Statutory Guidelines.

You will need to work in close partnership with parents and liaise with them on a daily basis.

We are able to offer you the facilities of a College campus set in 7 acres of green belt in a peaceful setting.  The College has excellent transport links and is set in a location convenient to London and the South East and offers a large free on-site car park.

Looking for applicants who are able to work when required all year round especially between the hours of Monday – Friday 8.00 am – 18.00pm to cover holidays particularly during the summer. Please indicate on your application form your general availability.
