Hoorah the confirmed date for opening the Play Park at the Rainbow Leisure Centre is Monday 4thNovember there will be two session 9-11am or 11am-1pm, with the Mayor officially opening the facility at 10am.

To celebrate the official opening of the Play Park, the Rainbow Leisure Centre are offering a special rate for the first two sessions on Monday 4th November.  At the 9-11am and 11am-1pm time slots, children will be able to try out the brand new facility for £3.70 per session instead of the usual rate of £6 for over 1’s. Spaces cannot be reserved and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis with up to 113 spaces per session.

As I mentioned in my last blog about it the Play Park is aimed at children aged 0-10 years, the space will offer:

  • Four-lane wavy slide
  • Indoor mini sports pitch
  • Two-storey play frame including 180˚ tube slide
  • Ball pool
  • Cafe hatch
  • and much more!

There will also be a dedicated under 3’s area including:

  • Ball pit
  • Interactive musical keyboard
  • Two-lane slide
  • and lots of other opportunities to play, learn and grow

The facility will be opening 7-days-a-week with the option to pre-book or simply turn up and check in on the day and the sessions will be 2 hours in duration. Alongside the play park facility, Chapters will be offering hot and cold drinks and snacks and there will be the opportunity to book parties in the new themed party spaces at the back of the play park.

Normal sessions will be:

  •  9am-11am
  • 11am – 1pm
  • 1-3pm
  • 3-5pm

And rates will be:

  • £6 per session (over 1’s)
  • £2 per session (under 1’s)
  • First adult with the child/children is free, £1.30 per additional adult after that
