Have you visited The Grape Variety before?

Just 10 minutes from Epsom, this independent wine bar has become known for much more than a great glass of wine. Throughout the year they host a whole range of events, from supper clubs and comedy nights to creative evenings and tastings, giving you plenty of reasons to visit.

And as we head into the autumn months, they’re mixing things up even more with more great events and collaborating with some brilliant local businesses both at The Grape Variety and at other venues nearby.

We always love seeing local independents working together, and there are some great events coming up. Manny’s Kitchen will be bringing the flavours of Sri Lanka to The Grape Variety, while over at Mayfield Lavender, the Glasshouse Café will be opening after hours for two special evenings in partnership with The Grape Variety.

So, diaries at the ready – here’s what’s coming up…

Bottomless Brunch  🥂

Enjoy a generous cheese and charcuterie board to share, olives, bar nuts and hummus & pitta, alongside two hours of unlimited house fizz, wine, beer or soft drinks.

If you love Sri Lankan food, there are three dates to choose from as The Grape Variety teams up with Manny’s Kitchen for a series of events celebrating authentic Sri Lankan flavours.

Sri Lankan Supper Club

Enjoy an evening of vibrant Sri Lankan flavours with a multi-course supper created by the talented team at Manny’s Kitchen.

Expect bold spices, fragrant aromatics and dishes inspired by the diverse culinary traditions of Sri Lanka, alongside The Grape Variety’s carefully curated wine list.

Sri Lankan Afternoon Chai

For something a little different, join Manny’s Kitchen and The Grape Variety for a Sri Lankan take on traditional afternoon tea.

Enjoy fragrant Sri Lankan Masala Chai alongside a selection of sweet and savoury bites – think warming spices, aromatic tea and a relaxed afternoon catching up with friends.

Fancy making Sunday lunch a little more exciting?

Bring friends or family, choose a glass (or two!) from the wine list and enjoy a leisurely Sunday lunch with a Sri Lankan twist.

Mayfield After Hours x The Grape Variety

Next up, The Grape Variety is heading to Epsom for a brand-new collaboration with Mayfield Lavender.

Mayfield After Hours, in partnership with The Grape Variety, will see the beautiful Glasshouse Café open its doors after the day visitors have left, creating a more intimate setting for an evening of entertainment, good company and, of course, a glass of something lovely.

They’re kicking things off with two favourites from The Grape Variety’s events calendar.

Sips & Giggles Comedy Night

The popular Sips & Giggles comedy night is getting a bigger stage!

Hosted by resident MC Robin Boot, the evening features a three-act line-up with Paul F Taylor, Ingrid Dahle and John Meagher.

Your ticket includes a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival, a full evening of live stand-up and an exclusive after-hours experience inside the Glasshouse Café.

Sip & Sketch with Tom Middleton

Wine in one hand, pencil in the other – and no artistic talent required!

Award-winning artist Tom Middleton will guide you through the whole thing step-by-step, so even those convinced they can’t draw can hopefully leave rather pleased with their creation.

Your ticket includes a glass of fizz on arrival, the full guided art class and all the materials you’ll need.

We love seeing local independent businesses collaborating and supporting one another, and this is a great example of exactly that.
