It’s not often I get to venture out on a Thursday night so when we were invited to the VIP launch of Be At One, A new cocktail bar located within Epsom Square, I jumped at the chance.  I’m happy to say it definitely didn’t disappoint.

The Decor
Entering the glass doors you are welcomed into a beautifully designed bar, a mixture of The Great Gatsby and 1970s chic.  Seating booths are upholstered in rich petrol blue velvet, with polished tables. The walls are adorned with laser cut tiles of pewter and a neon pink sign beams “this is me” over what seems like a DJ booth.  Ambient candles and dimmer lighting create a sultry and relaxed setting. The bathroom, well I was blown away quite frankly, as you enter a sea of millennial pink tiles encase the walls with matching pink woodwork and fixtures. Definitely a great place for an instagram selfie!

The Drinks
Being a gin and tonic drinker I often stick to my usual however the array of cocktails offered at Be At One were so vast and varied it would be rude not to sample the mixologists delights.  There truly was something for everyone, classic cocktails such as Lychee Martini, Champagne Cocktails and Vodka Martinis to more novelty cocktails such as Candy Pants and Siesta both containing beautifully combined spirits and juices. Absolutely stunning.  The theatre of watching the bar staff making the drinks adds to experience of drinking them.

The Ambience
Despite the decor being ultra stylish and opulent you could be mistaken for thinking you were in an exclusive, trendy bar on the Kings Road however, the first thing I felt when entering Be At One was welcomed, it’s not pretentious or overtly trying to be cool, the music is for everyone with an eclectic mixture of well known hits such from 70s ABBA and Blondie to 90s Britney and Backstreet Boys being played.

As the night progresses it becomes more like a fun party vibe, the bar staff dance on the bars and bang the fixtures to the beat of the music. Its great fun and really entertaining.  The most important thing I noticed was how much the staff were smiling and they enjoyed entertaining the customer. When mixing your cocktails they would engage and sing whilst creating a mini theatre shaking and twisting the various implements used in making the drinks.

It really was a great night and I’m pleased to say I will be back to sample even more of the beautiful cocktails Be At One Epsom has to offer.

There really is something for everyone and it’s a great place for pre or after dinner drinks or simply a good night out!

Go try it!
