Six years ago when I was invited to a shopping event at The Olive Tree Restaurant and I loved the restaurant, and garden centre, so much that I took my family there for breakfast that weekend.

And every single time that we’ve visited since has been an enjoyable experience. We are always spoilt for choice when we visit (everything is delicious) and over the years we have tried many of their delicious breakfasts, had gorgeous pizzas and ice cream, and tasty cakes and pastries.

It is a firm favourite in our house. And because of that, my boys were so excited when we were invited for lunch at The Olive Tree this week. Nestled within the beautiful surroundings of Ashtead Park Garden Centre, and surrounded by olive trees, walking into this restaurant always makes me smile.

From the minute we arrived, we felt at home. We were met with big smiles, served flavoursome drinks and food, and throughout the meal, various members of staff checked on us (and other patrons). We had food off of the lunchtime menu which consists of sandwiches, paninis, wraps, jacket potatoes, salads and their famous pizzas.

They also have a traditional afternoon tea option, with or without a glass of fizz – served daily from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm (2.30 pm on Sundays). And will be introducing waffles to their menu from the 8th of August – a breakfast option: with bacon and syrup; or for those who prefer a sweet treat, you can have a waffle with a scoop of ice cream. Yum!

To book a table at this beautiful and friendly ‘home away from home’ – visit their website: , give them a call on 01372 271188, or you can find them at:

Pleasure Pit Road

I hope that your family love The Olive Tree as much as we do!
