Animal Rescue Centres Near To You…

Posted by Sammy Wright on 21 Apr 2023

I am, like many of you reading this, an animal lover. In fact, I grew up believing in the assumption that the UK is a nation of animal lovers. Dogs are a man’s best friend, right? And did you know that a recent IAMS survey found more than a quarter of British women would rather spend Valentine’s Day with their cat than their partner?! Writing this now with my beloved Labrador by my side, it shocks me to learn that an estimated 2.7 million animals enter UK animal shelters each year. Of these, 1.2 million are cats, 664,000 are dogs, and 184,000 are other animals (fish, small mammals, etc.)

With these statistics in mind, I researched some local animal rescues which rehome cats and dogs. Perhaps if you’re looking at adding a furry friend to your family then you might consider rehoming one?

Remember they all have their own policies, requirements and processes, so make sure to read the small print before you enquire 😊

I’m Sammy and I live in Surrey with my two children and crazy labrador. When I’m not working in my fashion business, I enjoy all things social - from days out with the kids and relaxing spa breaks to nights out with the girls. I love good food, shopping, karaoke, dog walks and fun outdoor activities - so I’m looking forward to sharing some of my adventures with Epsom and Ewell Families.
