ALADDIN AT THE LEATHERHEAD THEATRE
Posted by Devenia Besant on 21 Dec 2018
When we set off to see Aladdin at The Leatherhead Theatre with our 3 children (aged 13, 11 and 6) I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, my youngest son has up until now refused to join us or his grandparents for any Panto. Anyway I needn’t have worried as he thoroughly enjoyed himself as did we. It was a brilliant set in one of our local theatres and a fantastic cast, great audience interaction from booing and hissing at the wizard Abanazar to flossing with Wishy Washy. Widow Twankey is hilarious with lots of puns intended and the #slaveofthering also kept us entertained (will make sense when you see it!!!) . There are also many songs from the current charts that I’m sure that if you don’t know them your kids definitely will…
So if you would like to do something as a family over the festive season and see if urban urchin Aladdin can win the heart of Princess Jasmine then do go and see this Panto, having been to a London Panto these tickets are a steal and it’s a great way to support one of your local theatres.
