Kanzzi Sushi & Grill is a family-run restaurant based in Epsom Square, Surrey. It serves simple delicious Japanese cuisine. Combining traditional Japanese dishes with a modern twist, Kanzzi offers a casual dining experience with a focus on the quality of the products used.

This family-run restaurant is a bit of a Banstead institution and has been serving a long menu of classic dishes for over twenty years. It’s known for its consistently good food and cosy atmosphere. It also has an extensive wine list! 🍷

… If you love your pizza and want something a bit more budget friendly then I can’t recommend Pizzerium on Epsom High Street highly enough. Their dough is proved for a very long time, which results in a really light and crispy base. The toppings are of the highest quality.

The Derby Arms – opposite Epsom racecourse – has two great options to get you loved up. It’s serving an exquisite three-course Valentine’s menu from ￡35pp between 12th to 17th February.
You can also indulge in their Extra Special upgrade from￡55pp, spoiling you with a choice of three courses each (with no supplements) and a bottle of one of their four luxury wines, including Moët champagne, to share between two.

La Familia Restaurant
La Familia in Ewell offers modern Spanish cuisine in a welcoming relaxed atmosphere and specialises in tapas and paella. Expect all of your favourites alongside some more unusual dishes. Reviews are great and Dee is is also a fan!

Located in the heart of Epsom, KOZA prides itself on providing a culinary journey and a celebration of Turkish cuisine. Alongside popular meze and chargrilled koftas and shish, you can also delight in steak and burgers, pasta dishes, fish and vegetarian and vegan options.

The Well House Inn
What better place to celebrate romance than a gorgeous country pub steeped in history with relaxed elegance and delightful quirks of 15th century England? This Valentine’s Day, they’re offering a dinner for two for £60 which includes roast fillet of beef with triple cooked chips and a host of delicious accompaniments alongside a bottle of wine. If you can’t make up your mind about a particular type of cuisine, then Rock Salt with its fusion style is perfect. Their Valentine’s Day menu includes everything from Basque sausage and Pacanga borek to fajitas and chicken shish.

I haven’t been myself, but Chim’s – a street-style Thai restaurant in Cheam – is a favourite amongst some of the other Epsom & Ewell Families bloggers and gets an impressive 4.8 stars on Google reviews. It has an extensive menu of small plates, large plates, curries, noodles and rice dishes and includes well-known Thai favourites as well as many exotic dishes.

The French Table
If you’re looking for very high end French cooking then head a little further afield to The French Table in Surbiton. I’ve been lucky enough to eat here a number of times and can vouch for the consistently wonderful quality; it wasn’t named Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year 2023 for nothing!
You can choose from the three-course dinner menu (£62) or push the boat out with their five-course tasting menu (£70 – vegetarian tasting menu also available at same price). For an additional £40 you can enhance the experience with a wine pairing.
