A NEW START FOR GOOD EVENING, EPSOM…
Posted by Kat Heath on 16 Jun 2021
Good Evening Food is one of Epsom’s culinary delights and now lockdown restrictions have eased it is now back with a fresh new venue to host their renowned and popular supper clubs.
Before lockdown, chef and owner of Good Evening; Sudesh Byrne hosted her supper clubs within her beautiful home in Epsom. However, during lockdown Sudesh used the time to replan her rapidly growing business as well as continuing her batch cooking service and online classes where she would teach how to create Indian family recipes with a contemporary twist.
Yorkshire born, Sudesh says:
“I decided that I needed to move Good Evening to a new location that was a little different from the norm.
I had met Phil from PT Depot at one of my supper clubs….I had also taught cooking classes in the PT Depot kitchen before lockdown, and because I had such a great working relationship with Phil, we discussed the idea of moving my business there.”
After a lot of hard work over lockdown from both Phil and Sudesh the new kitchen and dining area came together and created the perfect venue and ambience for Good Evening Supper Clubs. Beautiful contemporary seating with stunning lighting setting the complimentary scene for Sudesh’s contemporary and stunning cuisine.
The private dining experience is a great intimate alternative to restaurant dining. Catering for a group of up to 6 guests the Good Evening supper club is a great way of enjoying fresh, contemporary Indian cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients in a relaxing and contemporary environment.
After submitting your booking, each guest is emailed with the menu and asked to provide any dietary requirements prior to the date of the meal. All guests are welcome to bring their own drinks.
On arrival you are welcomed by Sudesh who will take care of you for the evening. A series of beautifully prepared and presented courses follow as you share a beautiful dining experience with your friends or family.
Sudesh’s attention to detail and passion for her food and her business comes through consistently. From the vibrantly colourful starters to the tea and coffee served in individual ornate teapots with a chocolate mint on the side (of course)
The experience is magical. Another thing Sudesh has said is:
“For me, supper clubs should be a magical experience that my guests will talk about around their own dining room tables, and something that they will want to share with their friends.”
