Simply Pilates With Caroline (In partnership with the NHS) / Pilates

Hello, my name is Caroline Reid and I teach mat based Pilates classes at Ruxley Lane church, Ewell. I also work in partnership with Epsom and St Helier Maternity Services and I specialise in Antenatal and Postnatal Pilates. The classes help you cope better with the aches and pains of pregnancy, improve your posture and get you back into shape after the birth of your baby.

As a mother of three young children I have experienced first-hand the benefits of practicing Pilates. I believe that there’s no better way to strengthen your body to cope with the additional weight of pregnancy and prepare your body for labour. It’s also a safe way to heal the abdominal muscles post birth, tone up, and repair the pelvic floor.

Class time table is as follows:

Monday’s – Mat beginners and improvers Pilates classes 6.15pm 1hr and 7.40pm, 1hr

Tuesday’s – Antenatal classes 5.25pm , 55mins

Thursdays –  Postnatal mum and baby classes 10.30 , 50 mins

  1. “After pregnancy I got back into fitness with Pilates with Caroline. She adapted the levels so it was the appropriate level and so you could stretch yourself as much as you were able to. After this I was able to join the regular Pilates class that she runs and was able to tone up further and really improve my fitness level.

Caroline is a very personable teacher, who very quickly makes you feel at ease. The small class sizes help create a relaxed atmosphere. These classes also helped reduce stress levels, just what was needed in a busy life.

I recommend this service as it’s developed a love of Pilates, I never knew I had.”

  2. “Simply Pilates has given me the understanding of body alignment to enable a much improved posture and release of tension by combining exercise in a slow controlled welcoming environment. The one to one attention by doing this in smaller groups has meant Caroline can adapt particular exercises or positions to suit my specific needs.

The classes suits most demographics as Caroline will research any previous conditions or injuries to tailor make the session to maximise the effectiveness of the exercise you are partaking in. I would recommend if you would like the ability to exercise specific areas of the body in a slow controlled welcoming fun session.”

  3. “Caroline’s classes are great they have helped me feel much stronger throughout pregnancy and recovery afterwards. The way Caroline teaches pilates makes it much easier to understand and do compared to other classes I’ve been to in the past.

Since doing the classes I can definitely notice the change in core strength. I would recommend as the classes are small classes meaning Caroline is able to give everyone her attention.”
