6 WAYS TO CELEBRATE VALENTINES DAY IN EPSOM AND EWELL…

Posted by Kalli Pasqualucci on 01 Feb 2025

All you need is LOVE!!! Valentine’s Day is not as much of a celebration in the UK as it is in other countries. However if you are one to celebrate the day of love there are quite a few places locally and in Surrey to do so with some of our partners and more. From live music and delicious meals to family adventures and activities. Plus we’ve got some budget-friendly suggestions too.

1. Dining Out (or At Home)

Chef Renu B is offering a Dine at Home for Valentine’s Day meal.

Epsom Beaumont has a Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea on Thursday, 13th February. And has invited any older local people to lunch so that they Don’t Dine Alone on Valentine’s Day (spread the word with your elderly relatives or neighbours).

The Well House Inn has a Valentine’s Day set menu on the 14th, or celebrate Galentine’s with the girls on Saturday, 15th with a Prosecco special. Kanzzi Sushi and Grill:

The Derby Arms:

and The Grape Variety

all have set menus for Valentine’s Day. Book your table in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Famous Green Man is celebrating on the 15th with Bottomless Brunch.

There is also a Veganitines (Monthly Vegan Supper Club) that takes place at Stoneleigh Library.

2. Live Music & Entertainment

If you love Elvis, you can watch A Vision of Elvis at Epsom Playhouse on Friday the 14th.

Or you can visit The Ginistry, Epsom for a Funk and Soul night.

3. Unique Or Budget-Friendly Ideas

Christine Michele Murray is hosting a Self-Love and Self-Care Evening at Fine Toad, Coulsdon. Or perhaps you might book a Paint Night at The Ginistry.

4. Go for a local walk (it’s FREE!)

Get outdoors for a nice walk or, weather permitting, a picnic. We have some beautiful walks near Epsom and Ewell. Including the Hogsmill, Epsom/ Ashtead Common and Box Hill. Or you might prefer to hop onto a train or take a short drive to one of our neighbouring Surrey Hills towns or villages. I personally love a walk near, and potter around, Shere.

5. Family-Friendly Valentine’s Activities

The Horton is hosting a performance of The River Runner on the 15th of February. If your family loves animals, Godstone Farm’s Discovery Week also starts on the 15th and The Wells Community Centre is hosting a family-friendly Ceilidh/Barn Dance.

Denbies has a week of fun-filled activities for half term including a Valentine’s Disco.

6. Gifts from the Heart

We are spoilt for choice with local gift shops and businesses that offer vouchers. You can find vouchers for beauty services (massages, nails or hair) or wellbeing services (reflexology, sound baths or personal training) on the directory.

Or you could book tickets for a theatre show at Epsom Playhouse or Leatherhead Theatre. Leatherhead Theatre also has live screenings of West End shows.

If you’re looking for a gift, you could also visit Mayfield Lavender Glasshouse

or Ashtead Garden Centre.

You might even want to grab a cuppa and slice of cake (I highly recommend) while you’re there.

If you would like to browse online then do check out Styled Right who have an amazing gift selection..bags, jewellery, candles and so much more.

Flowers from BBL Design.

Whether you celebrate or not, and whatever you get up to, I hope you are surrounded by love.
